It’s either Friday the 15th or the 22nd.
Seasons go for 3 months, and you won’t miss out on any Day 1-exclusive loot.
Get a grip and get a life. Jesus…

LoL, thanks for stopping by IronMan.
You usual dose of hate, anger and sheer disgust is that breath of tepid air you think we want!
Personally I play for fun, and I have the most fun at the start of the season.
Absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to take time off work to enjoy season start with other players, friends, clan members or even completely solo if that’s your jam.
The more notice we get, the better for the player base and I’m hopeful we will hear the date today
Unfortunately back a few seasons Blizzard stopped being proactive with reminding people that a season was ending, such as in the battle.net launcher that shows ads rather discussing other games or events. Even now they voided that news and have D4 marketing highjack that.
Then we have the announcement of when a season starts a guarded secret until a week before. Didn’t use to be like that.
Nah, farmhand does classify as a job or you have never worked on a farm or at least a non commercial farm. The false accusations about someone’s job and taking time off for a game is ridiculous and just personal opinions. If you don’t justify time off to play a game for a certain reason that’s fine…I can’t justify taking time off work because I drank too much or have the sniffles, but others do and that’s their call.
I mean, I take time off work to play video games all the time. It’s PTO, if you work at a company that doesn’t let you use it when you want (within reason, obviously you’re a jerk if you leave your team short handed, are going to miss a deadline, or something else that should take priority) then you should probably look elsewhere. I get around 25 days off a year and I’ve used at least 15 of them this year just to play games when they release. Sometimes with a couple days notice.
I can assure you it’s not uncommon and it’s really not frowned upon. It’s your time off.
I agree with OnePotato.
Though I personally wouldn’t take take off work for a game, I still think the possibility varies greatly from country to country and from job to job. Not to mention the state at work — if 5 out of 10 in a team has called in sick, I think it’d be irresponsible to take time off work in that scenario. But if you’re a team of 15 with no work load, I don’t see the harm. (Random made up examples)
I get 28 days holiday a year to book of when ever i wamnt no reason required at all. I wouldnt personally use holiday for this reason but if people want to then thats cool
Based on the fact its now November 9th and there has been 0 Communication I would base the start date as follows
5% Chance of Nov. 15
65% Chance of Nov. 22
30% Chance of Nov. 29
We should know more on Tuesday if they post patch notes or if they actually patch Tuesday
It does indeed start to look more like the 22nd day is the S19 start.
More like when the patch drops is now the only indicator. It’s still possible the Friday omission was caused by too much Blizzcom exposure.
hate to tell you this, as you should already know, but it’s likely the season will start 1-2 weeks from the end of season 18 which is on the 10th. So plan accordingly. As for taking a day off work… the seasons last a few months and for even the slowest of players it doesn’t take more then a few days to get to 70 and then another week, at most, to get all the items u need to be a contender on the leaderboards. Not understanding this “I R NEED TO TAKE DAY OFF WORKS”. It ain’t going nowhere. Relax.
Blizzard has run out of their allotment of wrong answers this century so the can’t risk giving a straight answer to a simple question. If for some reason the date had to be delayed the universe would collapse in on itself.
OP has friends that he wants to start the season with. Nothing at all wrong with that. There is definitely nothing wrong with asking for a season start date this close to… the season start date.
Looks like they’ll just have to call in sick that day instead of scheduling a vacation day.
Since it occurs on a Friday, it only impacts people the most on the west coast for 5 PM PST (commute, work, dinner) while guys on the east coast have the game start at 8 PM. Then you have a whole weekend, yeah call in sick.
Well, I don’t really know where the OP resides. Besides, in this day and age, not everybody works the day shift.
As someone who has a high paying job, I have taken off work for video games and things like music festivals… dont bash what brings happiness to someone.
Or, you know, people that work on the weekend…
Amen brother!! I can’t stand people who bash for someone digging something lol
