Its pretty annoying that the speed meta will be rat DPS again as the last 300 seasons in a row. The pushing meta will still wizard DPS even with the bazooka nerfs for the 300th season in a row. Although thorns necro may be dead as rgk.
I dont understand blizzards hesitation in nerfing rat builds and or buffing other classes significantly to rat level or to wizard level. Vry wizard was promising but not good enough to match rats and just got nerfed this recent patch under the guise of “bug fix”. Crusader seems to be poised to take over the RGK slot from thorns necro so thats good but this change should have happened multiple seasons ago to avoid the stale meta. Rat and Wizard DPS should not be on top and still be number 1 for so many seasons.
I dont really want to play another season just doing rat runs and will probably just play the new crusader / monk for a couple weeks and then quit then season. I wouldn’t mind playing my WD or other inferior DPS for speed runs but the problem is that most people already stop playing after a couple weeks or so in season. The remaining players are botting for their paragon (which blizzard refuses to do much about) and dont need to do speed runs or are not botting and refuse to play in non meta composition groups. It will be impossible to find groups to do speed / pushing runs with a WD or other non meta build without wasting a hour in community chats searching and most people will not play in groups that are not meta. Its not that i blame the remaining legit players for choosing only run meta group compositions because those builds are so much stronger than other classes at doing speeds and pushing grifts because blizzard refuses to buff other classes to comparable levels.
So once again, we will have RAT DPS as the speed meta and Wizard DPS as the pushing meta for the 300th season in a row.
