I have multiple accounts and routinely load in multiple instances using the DiabloIII.exe - launch option. It’s always worked prior to S29 and now it still works in America and Europe region, but not for Asia region. It returns an error code 1 when attempting to log in without going through battlenet. Tried on different machines with the same result.

The error occurs when attempting to authenticate on Asia; there is no error on America and Europe.
There is also no error when using the Battle.Net Desktop App to launch the game on Asia.

Same thing here, code 1 error, are the Asians not allowing multiple game instance to be run or what ?

Unfortunately, the use of the -launch command is not supported. Bliz won’t be able to assist on any issues you run into when using it.
Bliz only supports the use of the “Play” button on the launcher.
