As tempting as it may seem to perform a manual rollback, it more than likely won’t solve the problem and you’ll lose virtually all of your materials, leaving you with nothing to work with unless you re-grind them.
Blizz is not going to fix it anymore than they have so far. I did the rollback and got all my mats. I all 18K bounties and all 200K of my crafting mats back with the rollback
Is there any communication from Blizzard that they are actually doing anything to fix this?
That’s part of the problem - aside from the initial series of communications from PezRadar, we haven’t heard anything. It’s rather frustrating for obvious reasons as people would like to get back into the game sooner rather than later.
As always they will bury their head in the sand as they are useless
I rolled back and everything restored completely. In my case I work play nights so the save happened that day.
FYI, apparently the user invoked rollback is not resetting materials, or so no one has yelled about it. Unless it doesn’t affect the seasonal and may reset non-season… I mean.
I was going to, but changed my mind and instead just started playing it as is.

It’s possible that since most things are account bound anyway they decided to disable the restrictions. That’s a good thing IMO since it at least lets players get back into the season (mostly) properly. I’m always happy to be wrong if it lands in the players’ favor.
Still, communication is key and Blizzard isn’t communicating the way it should, and we can’t blame PezRadar for that because his hands are tied until he gets info to give us. The backend changes for the rollback should have been announced to people didn’t get mixed messages like what I appear to have been giving.
Played with the wife, my first time back in seven years. Started Saturday. Just as things were getting fun, this happened. She got all her mats, stash and paragons back. I didn’t. Did a restore. Nothing fixed.
We were really having a great time.
So emblematic of modern Blizzard. Back to POE2 for me.
Did you go back far enough? Anything later than the 4th will fail, and depending on your region, maybe even have to go back to the 3rd. (from my perspective here in the US)
