Because he puts the recent twitter posts into a very consistent timeline of what actually happened in those ~10 minutes.
“Not on launch, but we are discussing it.” → hell breaks lose → “Relax. We are not doing it.” → hell continues to break lose → “Take a deep breath and relax. We are not doing it.”
Makes alot of sense and it shows who is pushing the agenda here and who was just trying to deescalate some hot heads.

Exactly. Right now he was instructed to do a public relations move which they could deny later and say that was only meant to be talking about launch.
He then straight up admits the way that they would implement it. Why explain how you would implement it if there’s no chance of it happening? It makes no sense. This is clearly just a public relations move to ensure a vocal minority does not destroy metacritic scores etc during launch time.
Ploot is coming, for sure.
I’m almost certain they will be using this release as a platform to experiment for what things work and what things don’t so they can know that going into Diablo 4.

PLoot isn’t coming. You can imagine and misinterpret what you read all you wish. It won’t make it so.
Nobody is giving up on that fact. We will argue and poll away every single time this is brought up. So NO its not happening. See how that works? Gut wrenching for you I bet?
No if it never got implemented it wouldn’t really bother me that much. I think it’s a great idea but Diablo 2 is the greatest game ever created. It’s fine as how it is. But there are ways to improve it with options and bug fixes.
But anyway, yes, it’s clear that they will implement it. Otherwise he would not have stated how it would be implemented “if they were to do it”.

Except he left out this tweet. The tweet below preceded by a few minutes the “We are not doing it” that most likely refers to adding personal loot at D2R launch and/or altering/removing FFA loot later in D2R’s life cycle. This tweet shown below is undeniable that optional personal loot will not be at launch and may never come. If it does come it will be optional and at game creation.
