or just remove it. its the rarest drop, at least in my experience. always needing it when i need it and have a excess of arcane dust and veiled crystal.
There is a cube recipe for that from Squirt if I remember correctly.
salvage the poor quality items youll get tons of RPs just click the gray button on the BS for mass salvaging
the problem with that is that they dont drop often. you get way more yellows and blues than the whites. i believe blues should should salvage into AD and RP, yellows into VC/AD/RP, and legendaries into FS/VC/AD/RP. higher quality should salvage more lower quality materials eg: yellow salvages like 20% more AD than a blue.
get them off racks in the pandemonium battlefield.
is my suggestion not good?
Its not that its not good, but it won’t be changed.
You can run the butcher levels in Act 1, the Pandemonium as listed above in Act 4, those two areas will drops LOTS of grey/white items. Salvaging those items also give you 6-10 of the mats each or something. Yellow items usually give only 1 mat when salvaged and blue is like 3-6 or so. I never bothered with paying attention to them, but I know they drop different rates when salvaged. A full inventory of white/grey items will give you a few hundred of the mats.
But you can also convert them, though I never do this as its annoying as hell to do. I just farm them instead.
Usually my issue is not having enough yellow mats or death breaths, though now you can have plenty of the latter using a set with your follower to double the drops.
You just have to work the system. Its not hard to get those mats. Run through the levels leading to the Butcher in Act 1, hitting all the racks and breakables. You will find plenty. Same with Pandemonium.
well the blood shard system interferes. since we get so many blood shards to gamble and end up with massive amounts of salvaged yellows and blues, the dev’s set the salvage return rate much greater for whites. Every white you salvage you get something like a 10x return compared to yellows.
but that can work in our favor because we can use the cube to convert excess white salvage to yellow and blue when we need it.
how do we get excess white salvage, you say? Well just go tap the racks in the pandemonium battlefield on normal difficulty on a fast character like a monk and you’ll get thousands in a short time.
You can convert excessive blue and rare crafting mat to white crafting mat with Kanai Cube.
Only if you expect them to drop from monsters. That is not how you collect them. You collect them from racks and other similar places in various maps. Just click on as many of those as you run across.
Halls of Agony, Battlefields of Eternity and that prison map thing from act 1. You easily fill a whole inventory with whites there and it doesn’t take much time to open one of those maps and just ignore all enemies while getting them.
I think it is better this way, it is a bit of a rarity to force you to not only do normal play of racing through rifts in order to get a resource.
Such a mystery. Just visit battlefields at act 5 and click weapon racks. It’s the most abundant material unless you over convert at cube.
Also “the Collector” -labeled merchants often have white items for sale. So if you don’t want to do looting at zones mentioned earlier, just buy your inventory full of whites and use the cube to convert materials.
Buy the white items from vendor (unlimited supply if they spawn in their shop) then use cube recipe to convert the yellow/blue into white.
