Returning Player-Yang´s Recurve

I have the legendary item called (Yang´s recurve). While getting back into playing i fould a new one (same Bow) but with diffrent legendary bonus. The old bow has: Multishot attacks 50% faster. The new one has: Multishot attacks faster + makes more dmg.
Is that somehow intended to? I thought legendary effects stay the same. my current one in use is even ancient. could someone explain this pls. thanks

(dont know why i cant post imgur links, remove the space between the “.” and the “com”)

Yes, it was intended. You can salvage old one. Useless now.
Stats you need on new bow are:
xxxx-xxxx damage
+10 Damage
dex, 7as, 50% rcr
+12 discipline
200% MS

Legacy Yang’s Recurve:

Updated Yang’s Recurve:

A lot of legendary items underwent changes in Patch 2.6.1, back in October 2017…
https://us.diablo3.com/en/blog/21115840/patch-261-now-live-10-24-2017

Yang’s Recurve
Multishot attacks 50% faster and its damage is increased by 150-200%.

Dead Man’s Legacy
No longer rolls Legendary-strength bonus to Multishot damage as an inherent affix. Can still roll 10-15% as a random affix.
Legendary power now also increases Multishot damage, now reads Multishot hits enemies below 50-60% health twice and its damage is increased by 150-200%.
Note: Existing versions of this item will also be changed to include the damage roll in the orange text, but will always roll a damage roll equal to the previous maximum possible.

As other said, your old bow is a legacy version, the new one with the new bonus is stronger than the old one even it is non-ancient.

In general, change of legendary (orange) item isn’t retroactive, change of set (green) item is retroactive. Cubed powers are retroactive too.

Exception will be stated in patch notes. So, always read the patch notes whenever a patch has been delivered.

Note that, reforge a legacy item won’t convert it to new version.
