Hi guys
I played the first few months, I remember the intro of nephalem rifts for instance. I don’t remember playing any expansion, maybe I did, you will see why the confusion. In the shop, there are 3 games: Diablo 3 (says already have), Diablo 3 Battle Chest (says already have) and Diablo 3 Ethernal Collection (says nothing) as well as 2 expansions: Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls (says upgrade available) and Diablo 3 Rise of the Necromancer (says nothing).
The lack of details for those who have a partial complete game is confusing. My friend simply got Ethernal Collection and he is set.
The fact it says I have Battle Chest containing Reaper of Souls combined with the fact it doesn’t say ‘already have’ Reaper of Souls… I am confused. I simply want to play the entire game with my friend. It looks cheaper to purchase both expansions compared to the ethernal collection. It says I should have RoS, why should I repay for this… Can someone guide/explain me. Thank you in advance !!! Happy holidays
- D3 - base game
- ROS - expansion (requires base game)
- Necromancer - optional character DLC (requires ROS)
I suggest you log into your game and see if you have ROS already. If not, you’ll need to purchase at least this expansion.
You only need to purchase the Necromancer if you want to play that class.
Battle Chest = D3 + RoS
Eternal Edition = D3 + RoS + Necro
Necro is an optional DLC. It adds necro class, two character slots, two stash tabs and some cosmetic goodies. It doesn’t add any new content.
You cannot buy Eternal Edition because you have already got part of it. You just need to buy Necro DLC.
thank you both for your answers. I realize I have access to most of the content already with my battle chest. Excluding the necro class, some char slots, some stash tabs and cosmetics. It is to note that I COULD buy the full eternal pak and it simply charges me the difference since I already own part of it… good to know!
Excellent. Thanks for reporting back how the Digital Store handled your purchase when you already have part of the pack. Glad it does not charge you full price and just fills in the gaps.
This refers to the Digital Deluxe edition / upgrade to ROS, which Eternal Collection and Necro pack don’t include. Digital Deluxe comes with some cosmetics for D3 and a couple of Blizzards other games and gives three more character slots.
