Reminder! DONT do your challenge rift this week

As the title says dont do your challenge rift when it resets.

The reason for this is you can save it up for when the new season starts and do it right at the start of the new season to give your seasonal toon a nice boost from all the mats/gold/bloodshards the challenge bag contains.

Wait till the new season starts
make a new seasonal toon
log in to the game (ive been told this step isnt necessary but i do it anyway)
log out
start the challenge rift
log onto your seasonal toon and claim the bag

The bag contains:
475 bloodshards
5M gold (maybe little more or little less)
15 of each legendary crafting material
35 deaths breath
bunch of white/blue/yellow crafting mats

This is a great start for a new season so dont waste it.

Have fun S24

Even with the reminder some people will still do it and complain on the forum.

(If a friendly TL3 comes along and embeds this, that’d be super)

I’m not friendly, but I’ll do what I can do.

Dang it! I’m going on vacation this week so I will get a late start. Hmmmm… wonder if the wife will understand if we delay for a couple of days? I’m sure she would divorce me, but, would it be worth it? Decisions, decisions, decisions. :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:
Better not. I’m a heavy sleeper. And she’s good with a knife :cold_sweat: :cold_sweat:

Woah, i found an ethereal in my non-season bounty cache. So awesome.

Why not? I can wait for Monday. I don’t need to finish the season within 24 hours of it starting.

Blizzard could make the cache rewards based upon your highest base level character. That’d pull the e-brake on all who use it to complete the season as fast as humanly possible.

(I’ve done it too!)

Post change, based on max level 1 char: Pop bounty cache, get 5000 gold, 1 of each act crafting material, 50 of each basic crafting material, ZERO death breaths, 50 blood shards, a single rare and a few magics.

I know, SHHH, don’t give Blizzard any ideas! Hahaha

For the America’s server, it’s a pretty easy Seismic Slam Barb. Vesalius is the Rift Guardian. This should be an easy cache reward for all to start S24 off.

For the Asia server, it’s a fairly standard Hammer of the Ancients with Raekor. Hamelin is the Rift Guardian. This is also an easy cache reward to start S24 off with.

For the Europe server, it’s a work in progress Whirlrend Barb. Man Carver is the Rift Guardian. Of the three, this one will present the most Challenge. It doesn’t have Bul-Kathos’s Oath or Ambo’s Pride. It does have Lamentation and Band of Might (BoM) cubed. For Furious Charge, it uses the slow recharging Stamina rune, so keeping up the BoM damage reduction is tricky… of course the first level has Blood Clan Spearman and Herald of Pestilences on it. The follower has Mortick’s Brace equipped and you have Strongarm Bracers, so you don’t benefit from all runes of Wrath of the Beserker. You have Unforgiving as a passive and Whirlwind has the Wind Shear rune, so I really never had to use Cleave to generate resource. The main thing to keep in mind is that you have to manually apply Rend if you really want to do some damage. It’s still a fairly easy cache reward to start S24 off with.

In before Blizzard does the complete opposite of what you’ve suggested, and have level one characters get the usual amount. While a level 70 gets approx thirty times the amount (yeah including bloodshards just to annoy the player). Then they’d start increasing the rewards based on the paragon.

I usually do a walkthrough the CR about 30 minutes before the season starts. I don’t kill enough monsters to get significant progression, but it gives me the layout of the map, where the elites are, where the pylons are, and also gives me a quick feel for how the build plays.

They have to quintuple the rewards if you do it in a group, and that’s at 2 players, duodecuple at 3, and nongentuple (or other n-tuple) option at 4.

I mean, the easier you make it, the more you should get.

so you could get 60 bounty mats, 20 million gold, 1200 bloodshards and 1200 crafting mats?

yeah, that wouldnt destroy any reason to play adventure mode at all…

EU gets the WW Barb with missing Ambo’s Pride. Feels weird applying rend manually, but it’s manageable.

Well, as you can only obtain the rewards once a week, even with the figures you mentioned that’s worth at most 45 minutes of adventure mode.

bump 20 char needed.
