Is the recipe 2 reroll transmute bugged? I went through all my forgotten souls rerolling approximately 50 times and the item never became ancient
No.
My record failure streak is 74 in the live game… 83 in a PTR.
Failing 50 times in a row isn’t that hard to do. It happens about every 200 times you try 50 reforge attempts.
Basically RNG is random and the long tail of the curve never quite reaches 100% chance for success.

Probability of getting ancient is 10% iirc, so the probability of 50 tries not being ancient is app. 0.5%.
And it worked for me just recently.

It hates everyone.
Some items hit ancient really fast, some never do. If I have an item that doesn’t hit in 7 or 8 tries I either try another of the same item or come back and try again later.

rng is just rng. i got a primal CoE on my third reroll but i spent over 3k FS’s and never ever had a good compase rose
