Do these still drop? I’ve only gotten one this whole season @ 800+ paragon, but i have gotten 25+ soul shard upgrades. This a bug?
I would say your 1/25 ratio of gifts to shards is about right.

Is there any other way to get these besides socketing through enchant? In game people with less paragon are saying they have around 10 unused gifts, im i just really unlucky?
They seem to drop a bit slow but after I hit p1200 I had more than I could ever use
When you can run T16 rifts at a fast pace and greater rifts at 75 and higher at speed your chances of getting the gifts will be higher. You need to work your legendary gems up to the same GR level that you play - and don’t use Stricken for “low” content (it only works on a single monster at the time plus the rift guardian and it’s only needed when killing the guardian begins to take too long time).
farming 100’s for gems, but ive gone as high as 115, still no drops. i dont know, i have over 50 shards now in the last 4 hours of farming. thx for the advice guys.

Yes.
It is not a bug. RNG hates some people just for the sake of hating them. Over a long stretch of time, you will find more than you need.

Gotten 7 , used 2 so far , have enough for what im planning but i was also worrying before i got my 1st one at around paragon 500 …that they didnt exist anymore ;p
I’ve had same problem every 3 seasons.
Once I get that first one then others drop frequently.
I’ve even made a post to blizz about letting us buy the socket maker from NPC’s in town.
Blizz don’t care about our minor issues tho.

Weirdly, in Hardcore mode, before reaching paragon 100, I’ve gotten 2 and 2 Embers whereas on Softcore, not quite paragon 800 and have gotten 4 Gifts and almost 30 Embers.
My lady has gotten 0 of either, in both modes.
Just complete RNG.
It’s pretty consistent for me.
I don’t have enough, then I have too many.

My rgift dropped at about p600. I finished the journey rewards at exactly p666. Felt weird…
When it rains, it pours.
I run dual toons some seasons ie 2 Monks and if I dont get drops on one I swap all gear to the fresh toon. The drops feel better on the fresh toon.
I totally get that this is just superstitious but feels good for me.
The second toon nevers goes to waste in HC too.
My experience is they drop most frequently doing Empowered speed GRs in or around the 2 minute mark with DH’s (smaller loot table).
