I think the same as Melos, they should increase the difficulty. What is the point of playing in t16 for someone paragon 5000? I don’t want to imagine then for those who are even higher, instead of it being just a walk to get a key, it should be a real instance of leveling up and getting good items. Without knowing the work of the developers, I imagine that it must be easier to add a couple of difficulty levels than to re-scale difficulty and modify endless achievements associated with the current difficulty levels. I hope that people who are paragon 1000 don’t appear saying that there are too many levels of difficulty.

Does it matter when a lot of players want a super easy gr150 doable?
You have to play yellow builds for t16 to be a challenge.
edit: also good thread necro

  • And what if I want to use the cube?
  • What if I want to use the gems?
  • What if I want to use the paragon that I have worked so hard to obtain?
  • What if I want more bounties materials?
  • What if I want more keys to do fishing?
  • What if I want to fight bosses on higher difficulty or do the campaign on higher difficulty?
  • We don’t even have a leaderboard for only yellow

The campaign mode could be a great challenge if it had a GR150 equivalent

You know how to make the game more complex, if you don’t want more difficulty or the game seems too easy to you, there are 2 solutions (which are not incompatible):

  • Change game
  • Stop complaining

Next season is the final season. Already in the PTR they added balance changes for that final push. Considering there has been no news since the PTR finished, not to mention no PTR for the actual seasonal content, it’s highly likely that the D3 developers are still working on something behind the scenes before the final Season 30 is announced. This is why that if it’s as easy as just increasing some numbers to add these new Torment difficulties, why not just do it? It could help the game in the long run like I said, for minimal amount of effort and development time.

That’s not exactly correct. Next patch may be final in what’s related to “basic” game content, but seasons should continue to come and go (not with new themes of course).
And nothing is to stop you from continuing this thread for years to come.

They should unlock all difficulty until GR150, which should be Torment 32 if I not mistaken.

Torment 32 might even be a better option. That also adds new and challenging content in the forms of Torment 32 bosses that you cannot get in Greater Rifts, like facing off against a Torment 32 Belial. I remember back in the day when people were actually afraid of facing off against Belial and the Butcher due to their enrage mechanics kicking in due to how long those fights would take. Just imagine if facing the Butcher again actually stroked fear if you couldn’t kill him within a certain amount of time, leaving the entire field in flames!

So you know how to increase the difficulty. If you don’t want to do it, too bad, but I think that few people want to do bounties at a high level, especially with the Visions which will be permanent (at least in season).

In a hypothetical case that the difficulty increases and if it gives a good amount of bounty materials, it could be another activity within the game to try to improve items with the cube.

With Altar (automatic pick up/recycling) plus Visions, bounties will no longer have any interest, other than having recipes (Auguild, Guardian, and so on), gem recipes and certain items only obtainable in the Horadric caches (Hello to Ring of Royal Grandeur)

it all depends on the amount of reward.

It’s a good bet you’re better off playing at a level where you can speedrun, basically changing nothing.

GR = challenge mode

Torment = mat farming mode, torment needs condensing, not increasing. How many difficulty mode do we play? t1,t6, t10/t13, t16 at most. That covers 1-70 and post 70.

So normal for noobs, hard = t1, expert = t6, master = t10, t1= t13, t2 = t16, t3= t20 , t4 = t25… Thats about it. Think how many builds and what build does 1 min GR 120? Whats the point in speed mode if you don’t do 1 min speeds?

If solo 150 is too easy, theres always dark souls / elden ring aroune the corner.

They should totally run it up to T30. Just keep the mats, xp, any other rewards tied to T16 for anything above it.

Now you get your challenge, and I don’t get funneled into the meta farming build.
