Rainbow goblins

Hi

I’m trying to farm rainbow goblins and seen different videos on youtube about it. My question is: Do they only spawn in Torment difficulty? I had ran through southen Highlands a couple of hour on normal difficulty … no dice.

Pretty sure goblins can spawn at any difficulty level.

Thanks for reply. I guess I’m just unlucky. Though I did encounter one when playing T3 a completky different locations.

Somebody on Reddit took a sample from 1100+ (per posted update) goblin encounters and posted the results here a couple years ago:

Rainbows were way behind @ 3.4% chance from a goblin spawn chance

Mind the upload dates. In the last 2 or 3 Seasons I’ve noticed my past Goblin Farming route is not nearly as efficient as it used to be.

Pandemonium Fortress Level 1 and Level 2 are good places to farm Goblins. If 1 spawns, there’s a good chance 2 more will spawn… on each Level. That’s a total of 6 Goblins on 2 Maps.

You are correct. I always encounter Goblins with a new Seasonal Character on Normal Difficulty and higher. And recently did the same on the 2.6.6 PTR.

Also note: More than one Rainbow Goblin can spawn in a game. But, only the first one encountered will open a Portal to Whimsydale. If you encounter one, run Whimsydale, and then “Leave Game” and start again.
