Playing Meteor, and every guide I see says to wear Convention of Elements and cube Ring of Royal Grandeur. Every CoE I get is trash, either in stats or the 150-200% legendary bonus. Wouldn’t it be easier to roll a good RoRG? Is there any advantage to wearing CoE vs cubing it and wearing a good RoRG?
The advantage to wearing Convention is that it can have better stats than Grandeur. If yours doesn’t, then don’t wear it.

Rorg always rolls with int, increased attack speed and life on hit. None of which is a desired roll in the long run (although int and ias are not useless), and it’s impossible to roll for example a crit/crit/AD rorg. In fact you can’t even roll crit/crit with a socket. Which is why all guides (for all builds I think) will put rorg in the cube so that you can equip trifecta rings. Of course, the guides are optimal set ups, assuming perfect gear. It’s the dream you are aiming towards. But in reality, until you find a good coe, it can totally be better to equip a good rorg and cube the coe for a max roll orange range.
