I know that many of the content creators like Rhykker receive gifts from Blizzard. Do the MVPs ever receive anything from Blizzard for having to deal with some of the know-it-alls and whiners on the forums?
- Or is it just green text?

No, MVPs do not get anything except green text. Depending on which MVP program you are in, and what the program details are at the time, sometimes MVPs can get added to the F&F list for that MVP lead for Beta. Not always though. It is very space dependent.
Right now I think we have 2 MVP programs left.
The people who get swag are in the Influencer Programs. That said, while I am not an Influencer I was granted a very special exception and included with them for some of the Diablo Immortal stuff. Maybe because I am the last of the D3 MVPs? I have no idea.
Willow sits in the fire - but in that box is the Diablo Immortal Hoodie with my name on the sleeve. I rather like it and it is very warm. It also had a personal note from Wyatt.
Regardless of them making that exception, that does not mean I am likely to get, or entitled to, anything else. Anything I get is not part of the MVP programs, to be clear it is very much only part of the Influencer program.
Thank you for the feedback. I know in the past some people who never played Diablo and never even cared about our community would get in a beta. It was very difficult to watch some of these people. I was wondering if the CMs got/get in.
Well yes, Beta is open to anyone who signed up for a chance to get in. So a lot of random folks will get access.
If you mean the Influencer, marketing, press sort of thing? Yeah that is going to go to people who they think will be useful in promoting the game, building website or guide resources, etc.
Keep in mind, that while the very early wave of an Alpha or Beta does include Press and influencers/marketing, they account for less than 10% of the overall testing pool by the time Beta is done.
Almost all the rest of the testing is just random people. People you don’t hear from because they don’t post, stream, or otherwise talk about it. heh. There are a ton of feedback tools in the Betas so there is no need to go elsewhere for most of the feedback someone might want to give or bugs they want to report.
Blizzard staff get into games during internal testing phases. They don’t have to wait for Alpha or Beta to open up to the “public” testing phases. So yes, the CMs can play internal builds once the Devs clear it.
Sorry should have said MVPs, do they get in?
I did address that already.
If the MVP lead puts us on a list, we might get in. That is not a promise though. That said, I mostly do eventually get in.
For example I am also in the WoW Community MVP program and the WoW Community Council and I did get Dragonflight Alpha. Lots of testing work to do there as it is pretty basic still. Mostly I focus on learning the systems, controls, etc so I can answer questions for players.
Oaky, good to know. One of our mutual friends asked if I wanted to get in on Immortal, I told him I did not play games on my phone. I asked him to remember me if he could get me into the D4 beta, he said “will do.”
What about former CMs heh? Can they join the Beta?
You mean the people that actually know what the hell is going on here?
But what about Willow? And Holy?
That one they asked us if we had a friend who might want in on Beta for Immortal. I did not have a device to play it, but did give them the account name(email) of a good friend who was interested. Bonus, he lives near me and visited with his iPad and showed me the game.
I don’t know if that will be the case for D4 though. It tends to be a lot less strict for free to play games than for paid release games.
MC I wish you get in BETA ASAP, you deserve it. All these years that I visit the Diablo forums you provide users with useful replies and sometimes photos of cats which is very cool. Keep up the good work even if D4 turns out to be a failure.
For once I agree with Skelos 100%. MissC has sent me to my room on several occasions, but she is still a good Mom and an asset to our community. I do not care what some of the dimwits on the D2R forum have said.
You just had to do it.
I agree with both of you Miss C has been a constant for us here in the forums she deserves it all. BTW seeing you 2 agree on something this thread should be pulled it is going to damage both of your reps.
Kudos folks.
I couldn’t resist haha. Joke aside, D4 might be outdated for real, we have to see.

I wonder if the beta will be just one small area like at Blizzcon, or will it be much larger with access to all skills and abilities. Will it be just one toon or all of them. Bring it on Blizzard, let’s do it. I do not need to get in, but I hope to watch others to see how it has come along. Could the next blog cover what will be in the beta?
I hope the application for beta is the full game and many of us get in for D4.
It’d likely be a larger area (although probably still less than an entire region) than the one at BlizzCon 2019. As for skills and talents, they’ll likely all be available, however character level may be limited, so players wouldn’t be able to either actually learn all skills and/or put enough points in some to make endgame builds that we’d likely see once the game actually launches.
You’d have to wait for the non-NDA wave.
@oblivion good point.
Prior to the launch of D3 people were streaming it up to the Skeleton King. Maybe the D4 beta will be similar.
D3 had closed NDA BETA too and no one streamed then.
The non-NDA BETA for D4 will likely start in September/October this year.
