In D3 and Immortal, Wortham is a small hamlet with a chapel and a few houses. Is that how it really is in the lore.
- It seems like only a handful of people live in Wortham. Was it larger in the past?

Following.
I haven’t investigated yet, but does Wortham have remotely the same layout in the two games?
I haven’t gotten far enough in Immortal yet (last place I was at was still the tutorial I guess), but according to Diablo 3, Wortham had pretty much been a fishing village. So I don’t think it ever had that large of a population.
The overall area (land mass) appears to be larger in Immortal. Not linier like in D3.
Unless I missed something Wortham is the first place you go when you start the game.
Verified layout:
You come in on bottom left port of DI
You come in on bottom right port of D3
Portals are in different locations (Outside DI vs chapel basement D3)
A cart blocks your path in D3 for the rest of DI’s area.
General layout is the same.
Now to check out Westmarch.
It seems like Wortham is and always was small hamlet…
