Question about Trags and AS

I’m playing Trags Blood Nova. Atm I have 16% AS which with Frenzied is 41%, with 1.51 attacks per sec going to 1.83 (which is only 21% increase, not the 25%, I don’t know why). Should I be looking to increase AS ? I read somewhere that around 2 is optimal.

1.49 AS in town is kinda optimal with Swift Harvesting.

Since you most likely will get Frenzy buff from potion that would put you to 1.82 AS.

In any case, to not get on the “wrong side” of Attack speed breakpoints, you should stay below 2.02 APS with buffs active.

I started a thread on this very topic in the general section of the forums and some very interesting information came out of it all. Amazing people contributed very good information. I’ll summarise for you:

If you have Krysbin’s with 7% IAS then you have too much IAS. You do NOT want IAS on any other piece of gear either. Just Krysbin’s. 5% is perfect. If you have 6 or 7% then drop points off your IAS from paragon. Keep the swift harvesting passive. With the frenzy shrine, you’ll be at 1.82. You don’t want to go any higher than that. There is a bug with the internal proc for Iron Rose off hand and going with a higher aps than 1.82 means the bug is procced and you will actually lose dmg.

Some suggested elite dmg on weapon, and AD on gloves, which is what I am going to try for. If you can get DN/CHC/AD on your Iron rose, great, but that is very, very, very hard to do - otherwise, DN + CHC. If you can get AD instead of Int on CoE (along with CHC and CHD of course), even better apparently.

I was lucky to get a great ancient helm too, and I was able to roll off the socket so that I ended up with int/vit/chc/DN. A socket for a diamond for CDR for better bone armour uptime might have been better, I guess time will tell.

I hope this helps.

edit: I just looked at your seasonal necro (EU server). Some suggestions:

Go with life% over AC on the shoulders.

Int/chc/chd/AD on gloves

Int/vit/AC on chest

%dmg/int/AD on weapon

AC on pants (not AR)

phys/chc/chd on amulet (about 10% more dmg than going with int, even with guardians taken into account)

again, like with pants, AC on boots, not AR

necros, being Int based, come with a lot of natural AR already. AC is of more benefit to them and will add to your toughness by around 7% for each piece of gear that has AC instead of AR.

Try and get an ancient Iron Rose - it’ll add a nice bonus to your DPS…

hiho.
sorry i dont understand this completly.
So, no ias on gear at all ? Or with buffs below 1.82 ?
Even with no ias on gear you are way above 1.82 with shrines.
