Hello.
I have a question for FoTH.
What is better.
Amu:
+1000Str
+100Crit
+10 Crit
Or
+20%Light Dmg
+100Crit
+10Crit
And another question is, how important is it to get 8% Cooldown on gloves ?
I trie to get Ancient with CD/CC/CD but i always get CD/CC(Recourse cost as ancient…
Wasted over 5000 souls and no chance.
Want ancient because +Gem for Str.
And in generall, what i’m doing wrong ?
For push i use endless walk and Diamands like everybody else, but i cant stay so i never get +100%Dmg, i have to move always or i get killed.
Me, personally, i would use The Travelers Pledge Set to be honest with the Two Handed Flail/ Shield combo. Darkflight in the cube. Attack Speed and Movement Speed. To make up for damage reduction from crit i usually run the Wreath Of Lightning.
I already use that combo, but sorry, your answer doesnt help me
Gems : Zeis/Bane/gogok
I enjoyed playing this build with Squirts/Unity/CoE and Ess of Johan in the cube. When Ess of Johan procced the damage was massive.
As far as CDR on the gloves, if I recall, you’ll want to prioritize AS to hit the next breakpoint. CDR is good with very high paragon only.
Elemental Damage is better than strength on amulet in most circumstances. Even if you only had 8K total strength, then getting 1000 strength would be a 12.5% damage increase…while you’d have to have 60% lightning damage on gear for 20% to only give you a 12.5% damage increase. If you have more than 8K strength and less than 60% lightning damage (both nearly guaranteed) then go for the lightning damage.
If you’re running Guardian’s, that 1000 does turn into 2000, but chances are you also have a much higher pool of strength so the math just changes to “if you already have 16,000 sheet strength, then adding 2K is only a 12.5% damage upgrade.”
I just treat CDR as quality of life, so I love it for speeds but for this build not so necessary when pushing. You can also adjust easier in paragon in S29 to just get a ton of CDR really easily and focus on the other offensive stats on gear rolls.
Ah ok thanks.
Thought 1000 Str+1000(Set) so 2000 (also adds Armor) would be better than 20% Ele dmg.
Btw, how do you get 60% Ele dmg ? 20 Amu and 20 Bracers. Jordan doesnt fit in this build.
Btw, can you tell me the ias breakpoint for FoTh with Novaldis ?
Thanks
There are a number of extra ways to add elemental damage that I would never do (SoJ like you mentioned, elemental damage from enchantress, a few armor pieces like andariel’s helm/blackthorne’s pants/thundergod’s vigor belt, maybe more that aren’t coming to mind), but I just picked that number as a theoretical extreme to show that even in that extreme it’s still worth to get another roll, but if you’re running a normal amount of only having it on bracers then it’s 16.7% more damage to get a second 20% roll.
As for the armor, that’s a consideration for you to make if you’re having a hard time staying alive, but generally if I already have crit/crit on the amulet I would take element on the 99% of builds that benefit from more elemental damage because it is a hard stat to get.
I do not know IAS breakpoints for builds…I rarely will pick it on gear for anything because other stats are almost always better. Sometimes this is to my detriment like when I first played Mundunugu Witch Doc and realized getting an extra attack speed roll gave me a MASSIVE amount more damage, but that’s pretty rare. This season I could see people caring because it’s really easy to just add the exact % needed in paragon to hit your next breakpoint. Anyway while I haven’t tried it with this build and not sure if it translates to the automatic fists which scale with attack speed, I would suggest uploading your character to D3planner (now part of the Maxroll website) and looking at your skills and it should show attack speed breakpoints for Fist of the Heavens.

As was posted above, Elemental damage is always better in an amulet, however, with this build it is questionable as you use ‘Finery’ with 1.5 times to you strength and if you are using the Guardian set, then that adds another 100%, not just to your damage but to your defense as well. I think it is questionable ans really would have to be tested to be conclusive.
