QoL Request List

This here is a list that I have compiled and saved in a word document with the most common and most important QoL changes that are requested and a few QoL stuff that I personally would like to see.

Maybe some will make it through, maybe some don’t. I just thought they might be worth mentioning.

Interface & Visual Changes

  • Search Function for stash AND bags.

  • The Search Function should also be able to search for tags like “ancient”, “set”, “gem”, “jewel”, set names like “Unhallowed”, item types like “staff”, “ring”, and slots like “head”, “torso” etc.

  • Move the Paragon Point Button to the right, between the resource orb and the friendlist & collection buttons, so it isn’t too much in the way when you level up during a GR.

  • Allow us to turn of killstreak notifications (Massacre bonus) and others like Mighty Blow, Destruction or Pulverized.

  • Give us the option to change back to the old gauntlet cursor! Many people do not like the current cursor. Allow us to select a check mark in the options menu to change the cursor for people who want to use the old one.

  • Save the page that was last opened on an artisan and Kadala, so the next time you click on that NPC, the same page opens again.

  • Allow the Chat Box to be deactivated, so it can’t open when you accidentally click on it.

  • Allow us to hide the minimap.

  • An option to lock the UI buttons during GR’s.

  • Also show the actual cooldown and the actual resource costs of a skill when you hover over its icon after cooldown reduction and resource cost reduction were subtracted and not just base cooldown/resource costs. This could eventually work with the damage / dps a skill does as well, that include things like x% increased skill damage and x% elemental damage, etc.

  • Allow us to reduce/adjust the spell effects of other players, just as it is with pets from allies right now.

  • When you have put an item in one of the Mystics crafting tabs and you switch from for example Enchanting to Transmogrifying or to the Color Dying Tab, the item should remain in the crafting window on the Mystic, so you do not have to reapply it everytime you shift from tab to tab.

  • When you reroll an affix on the Mystic, the tab that shows all the different affixes and possible ranges these affixes can roll should not close and instead stay open.

  • Graphically show your remaining energy shield (like from the Wizards passive skills Galvanizing Ward and Domination, or from items like Molten Wildebessts Gizzard, St. Archew’s Gage, etc) as an additional layer above a characters health globe. This feature was already in the game during the RoS beta, as it can be seen here: https://imgur.com/2fHihdf

Gameplay Changes

  • The all time classic: let pets pick up crafting materials.

  • Enemies should have a separate CC resistance for knockback and hard CC’s (hard CC = freeze, stun, fear, charm, confuse, blind, etc), because knockback is not a hard CC and there are certain skills (like Ground Stomp – Wrenching Smash) that otherwise apply more total CC resistance than they deserve imo.

  • Remove the movement speed cap. That way, Movement Speed would become a much more interesting affix on boots, because you didn’t just simply had to max it out on Paragon.

Item Changes

  • Radmaladnis Gift should also work on amulets and rings.

  • Add the Wizard’s Channeling Skills and Electrocute to DMO bonus

  • Remove certain fixed affix rolls from certain legendary amulets, so these amulets can be useful as well, because they then would be able to roll with the trifecta of x% elemental damage, CHC and CHD, which they currently can’t, because currently legendary amulets like Countess Julia’s Came (the amulet that makes you immune to arcane damage) ALWAYS roll with x% increased attack speed, or that The Ess of Johan (the amulet with the proc that pulls enemies together and slows them) ALWAYS rolls with cooldown reduction. etc.

  • The LoD gem (and eventually some of the other, less powerful gems like Mirinea, Wreath of Lightning, etc) should be able to be socketed into armor.

Other Changes

  • The option to gamble from Kadala as another class.

  • Move Kadala closer to the Blacksmith in every act.

  • Allow the Mystic to enchant one Primary and one Secondary Affix.

  • Let Bovine Bardiches and Puzzle Rings stack. Not directly, but let us transmute the Bovine Bardiches with the cube into a stackable item like a cow-bell and this cow-bell stacks up to 100 times. When you then cube the cow-bell again, it opens the portal to the cow level. Same for the Puzzle Ring.

  • Move the Town Portal away from the Wardrobe in New Tristram.

  • Move Tyrael and the Town Portal away from each other in Bastion’s Keep, even if it is just slightly.

  • Allow us to freely choose the season starter set.

  • Allow us to freely choose a default act in which we can spawn when we start the game.

  • A way to tell which items are tagged for builds in your armory.

  • Replace Gold Find in Paragon with Pickup Radius.

  • Allow us to prematurely close regular rifts and GR’s in one way or another.

  • Allow us to prematurely close Cow Level and Vault Portals in one way or another.

Area Changes

  • Increase the monster density on Shrouded Moors maps in Nephalem Rifts.

  • Increase the overall monster density in man rift maps, like for example caves.

A game selector for public GR’s so we don’t get dumped into games already underway, or back into the same game we just left. Just revert to the old system would better…

  • Let us further level up our legendary gems that are maxed at lvl 50.

I have to throw my BotH away after every season cause it’s not worth to augment gear with it.
I hate the fact you obliterate the time you spent leveling that gem. That doesn’t mean the additional levels should change the gem itself…

Maybe it would be more useful if it could be socketed into armor and not just jewelry, even if it is just level50.

Hey Clueso… I don’t understand the reasoning behind this suggestion could you elaborate? Just for background info. I did suggest several seasons ago that DMO get Wave of Force added to the set bonuses. However, the devs didn’t bother to add complementary legendary items to interact with WoF. Why Disintegrate and not the other channeling spells including electrocute?

There currently is no more or less “pure” channelling build. All the channelling builds use a channelling skill to for example proc Meteor via Etched Sigil, since there are these boots that increase the damage of meteor by 900%, so the vast majority of the damage of these builds comes from the Meteor.

That is why I would like to see some channelling skills added to DMO, since DMO does not buff Meteor.

You are right, I should add these as well.

It is just that I personally really wanna see a build that primarily uses Disintegrate as its main source of damage, so my own bias got in the way.

To add to the ‘closing things’ theme, I’d love if we could close the cow level, perhaps by speaking to a cow NPC in town that appears beside the cube after (for example) both the Cow King and Queen are defeated?

I like most of these ideas. I disagree about some within the ‘item changes’ section, but I can’t dive into that atm.

I would add :

  • An option to lock the UI buttons during GRs.
  • Save the page Kadala was last opened to, or make it an option the player can select.
  • The option to choose whatever class rollset you want currently active at kadala.
  • Option to autoshard yellows, blues, and Grey’s at Kadala.

Most of my others are related to testing QoL and have already been voiced in previous PTR threads.

I will let you know if I think of others though. I will take look at those QoL documents again. Might be a good refresher.

I’d like for the mystic to be able to modify more than 1 stat… even if changing a 2nd or 3rd stat costs 100-1000x the gold/resources that the first modification cost…

Nothing like finally get the primal weapon you’ve been waiting for and having the stupid bleed effect, socket and resource reduction on it… smdh

Reset of the bounties without having to remake the game doesn’t seem too outlandish

That is only against 3 or less targets, and 600% vs groups of enemies.

All currently used channeling build in GR have area damage components that hit multiple enemies (RF has grenades, Arcane torrent or Disintegrate has meteor shower, Whirlwind had dust devils and mobility to get to enemies while channeling, now has Rend etc).

All builds that don’t use channeling as main damage dealer or enabler, don’t really lose DPS by moving or stutter stepping - like LoD BS for example. Interrupting your channel means you lose taeguk stacks, you lose defensive bonuses, you loose mantle of channeling, so it’s very punishing as both your DPS and tankiness are reset until you start stacking them again.

Please move the town portal away from the wardrobe in New Tristan!

I would like to see in the chat box when you engage elites to tell what afixes they have. I find it hard to hover over when there’s a lot of mobs on screen. The yellows don’t always have the same as the non mobs that follow.

Gambling for a different class than the one you’re playing and having access to your alts inv. without changing char would be nice

A configuration to disable flag click teleporting to party members. Did that a few times in hardcore on accident, not fun.

Hey, i don’t like search in stash. I want QoL were i can disable any search function. I hate it!!!

I think changing one primary stat and one secondary stat is reasonable.

Disintegrate and Arcane Torrent also have an area of effect.

Even Ray of Frost has an area of effect, although it is a fairly small one.

Hey please add to your DMO changes:

  • complimentary legendaries (and possibly 1 of the dead leg wands) for Wave of Force.
  • add electrocute to the supported channeling spell list of Mantle of Channeling

There are several other improvements to DMO and Slow Time that would greatly improve builds that use that set such as:

  • updating Ranslor’s Folly bracer to pick up elites and non-elites
  • cutting the ST cool down to 10 seconds, in half, or 6 seconds (leave the duration at 15 secs)
  • Instead of limiting the channeling improvement to disintegrate add all of the Wiz channeling spells including electrocute
  • removing the jump animation from WoF (seriously this is over due for like the last thousand years)
  • fixing slow time so mobs that attempt to charge into/out of/through, or jump into/out of, are stunned by the stun rune instead of being CC immune within those attack animations
  • make mirror image spawned bubbles observe DMO and Primus mechanics (its nearly impossible to tell player cast and MI cast bubbles apart

(** fix Mirror Images and that silly Wiz hat **)

There are more improvements to suggest but this is plenty for now.

I would love to see the search function enhanced. Currently it only works on the name. It would be far more useful to be able to look for tags like “ancient”, “set”, “gem”, “jewell”, set names like “unhallowed”, item types like “staff”, “ring”, and slots like “head”, “torso” etc.
