So in the past few days I started pushing the GR for the first time. The thing is though, someone told me it would take a bunch of keys to go higher GRs, but I did the climb up from 130 to 140 these last few days and and it only took one GR each time?
In fact, the higher GR I go, the better time I get…is this because of how the Nova necro works?
I haven’t even got the season theme for the boss or anything…or any of those big open rifts with good enemies and pylons and stuff
When does it get more challenging? People always talked about doing high GR like it meant something, but I’m finding it’s been far more skill intensive to go the fastest combined with high GR, rather than doing the highest GR but in slower times
Am I missing something? I feel like I’ve been duped and lied to
Go on with pushing. You will come to a point where its getting harder to finish grift in time. Even if you can finish a gr 150 you can go on and try to beat your best time. And then at the latest you will be forced to fish for good first map.
Even when you reach the max 150, you can still “push” for a time attack, and then need to fish for a good floor, mobs, pylons, season effects to line up.
If you are as good as you say you are that even Blizzard collaborates with you on builds, why are you asking us such simple, elementary, basic, fundamental, questions?
PS I know you and Bravatta are the same person. No two people can be this egotistical.
I’ll be nice for two seconds, and congratulations on reaching 140.
But (there’s always a but) you reached 140 in 13:40. The road to 150 is still long.
Now fishing will appear. You will not go from 140 to 150 with only one key per level.
Afterwards, as I already told you, you either like fishing or you don’t (it’s an activity that I personally don’t like very much).
To end on an optimistic note, you can reach 150, with more optimized stuff, but with a lot of keys
Some people are savants in some areas, yet relatively clueless in others; this is me. Hence my questions
This is my only account…idk who Bravatta is
My time has only been going down as my GR is going up…I haven’t even been able to use the season theme properly or get one of those good maps yet either. So idk how true your statement is (it might be true for worse players, I guess)
I plan on reaching 150 with 10 more keys…
I don’t care about any of that. I’m only doing the 150 so that people can stop bugging me saying I suck because I never cared to push GRs. Far as I’m concerned, these higher GRs and pushing is extremely slow, lame, and boring
Nope. It has been because I didn’t reach such and such GR, therefore I must suck and not know what I’m talking about. It’s never been about in game chat or forum chat
I think I understand OPs issue. I don’t think he understands what we mean when we say it takes more than one key to push GRs
Let me explain: Yes, it only takes 1 key to open the rift. But if you get a crappy map, say one with a bunch of doors or a cave etc, you restart the game and open another GR, thus using yet another key. This is called fishing. By the time you get a really good GR, say with an open map or even an Orek’s Dream, you might go through a whole BUNCH of keys. So to summarize: For 150 GR push you sometimes need to go fishing for a good GR map, thus using more than 1 key.
Now, if you are as good as you say you are and don’t need to go fishing for a good map to do a 150 GR, then you are in a minority. There been a few seasonal themes that I didn’t need to fish for a good rift to finish a 150 GR and was successful about 90% of the time. Maybe this is your Nirvana of a seasonal themes. Me, not so much. Requires way too much fishing.
During original altar season, using the pre-nerf Tal Rasha (Comet), i got to somewhere near GR146 without fishing. Those last 4 GRs did require fishing, even with all the altar power and build power.
So even powerful builds typically need fishing at some point.
Ya, I used Comet in S28 to get my one and only GR150 down. Did several 149s to get all my base gems that can go to up to 150 to level 150. Did the GR150 just to say I did it. Got it on the first try. Decent maps, good mobs, only 1 of the 3 pylons you want (conduit, power, shield).
Wow, your 130 time must have been near 15 minutes if your times got better each time.
Gratz on the 140. Looking forward to your uploaded video of the 150 in 1 key.
