Purchased Eternal collection

Hi. Need help. Just installed Diablo III. Play for free for 2 days; trial.
Then I bought the Eternal Collection and payment was successful 9 March 2022.

Question: Do I need to install Eternal Collection? If yes, how to install. Now I still see Diablo III (Game Version) on the left side of the screen. I cant see nor find Eternal Collection mentioned anywhere.

Help Help Help.

There is only one Diablo 3 game client, you don’t have to install anything else.
Eternal collection is just base game, Reaper of souls DLC and Necromancer pack all in one.
If you can create a seasonal Necromancer and start a game with it in Adventure mode then everything is fine.

In the client and the desktop shortcut if you have one, it will just be called Diablo III. As Stu posted above, there is nothing wrong. All you purchased was a bundle that unlocks the main game, the 5th act expansion, and the Necromancer pack. That bundle is what is called the Eternal Collection.

Have fun!

Not sure if they are still selling Digital Delux licenses. It offers even more hero creation slots.

Its all bundled together now.

The collections which include D3+ROS, or D3+ROS+NecroDLC do not include Reaper of Souls Digital Deluxe Edition. You still need to purchase that as an upgrade of the base ROS.

Odd, I thought they changed that with the ultimate evil collection. Correction, Prime Evil Collection.

Actually both statements are wrong I was looking at the D2R/D3 bundle names… Ugh.

Its actually this:

The Eternal Collection provides the definitive Diablo III experience, with the unholy trinity of Diablo III, the Reaper of Souls expansion and the Rise of the Necromancer pack. This includes the Necromancer class, additional character slots and stash tabs, the Half-Formed Golem pet, and additional cosmetic items. We recommend new adventurers start here.

So that is what they bought.

So yes, they get it, as I said.

They don’t. You need to own Digital Delux edition to get 17 character slots. There is no other way. I know this for sure because I asked for account merge (with Heroes of the storm account) and at first they did not give me Digital Delux edition on new account so I had less character slots.

The additional hero slots they’re referring to in the section you quoted is the two granted from the Necromancer DLC, not from the DDE. If you have D3 + ROS + Necro, you will have 14 hero slots. It’s not until you purchase the ROS DDE (which grants an additional 3 slots) that you’ll have 17.

Everything is explained there.

  • Reaper of Souls adds two character slots —five slots if you buy the Digital Deluxe edition

At this point then, they are just stupid.

They left the description of the Eternal pack vague as hell then. Nowhere on that page does it talk about having to still buy more to max out the options.

They should have just combined all of that under the largest bundle and be done with it.

Absolutely stupid. I mean, I have all of it myself, but for new buyers, its idiotic.
