PTR Patch Notes Updated . No Damage Buff to Sets
Therefore going LIVE like it is now , these sets are immediate Trash and just Stash Space now. GG

Actually the dh set got a hefty multiplier sort of, as it reads now : 10% per second, maximum 20 sec.

Necro though did not recieve anything.

All they did was make it easier to maintain the stacks on DH . The fact its just a QOL change . Neither set hits hard enough. So we have 1 more patch once PTR closes.
Complete joke. These sets are actually fun to play but why bother playing them if there are other sets for the class that are just better and more efficient.
Heres hoping Blizzard fixes this and actually BUFFS the 6 piece multiplier.

What do you mean 1 more patch ? As in ever? Support and updated and season’s will end on season 22 ?

If this is the final version, there will be a huge drop in playerbase for sure.

The sets basically both need at least double damage. AT LEAST. And demon hunter really needs help with toughness or even more damage to be able to equip defensive options more forgivingly.

Please Devs tell us that this isnt the final thing :open_mouth:

So the new DH set is basically like 4 piece plus whatever now?

Once PTR is finished “prior to releasing 2.6.9” Blizzard have the ability to Patch and change the set without Player testing. This is exactly what happen with the WD new set and it became broken OP.
I am hoping they buff the 6 piece multiplier “prior” to release so its actaully competititve and not complete garbage tier but not so OP that its running 150s. The sets themselves should be 130 doable with 5K NS Paragon and currently they jsut simply arnt. Personally i think both sets need the 6 piece doubled.

Demon Hunter got a good buff on 2 piece with a buff to the total damage Momentum gives. Additionally, the ability to use Entangling Shot with Odyssey End without having to worry about resetting Momentum stacks is another increase in damage. Including the bug fixes, I like where the set is going.

" Final Service now activates before Simulacrum’s Self Sacrifice."
Do I read it wrong, or does that mean that the “Self Sacrifice” rune is now useless ?
That’s… incredibly dumb to me, so please, someone tells me I’m reading this wrong…

I think what it means is that after Final service procs you get two more cheat deaths with self sacrifice and flesh and bone being on (2 piece set bonus) to last you until the cool down is over.

Oh… I didn’t see it that way.
Doesn’t look any dumb now, thanks. It’s actually a kinda good idea. Thank you !

But no buff on the Carnival’s 6 pieces ? Come on…

Right? I don’t get it either.

Just look at Typhon and PoJ.

They were bugged and just bad in PTR.

What we got on live was much better.

Hopefully this time is the same.

I mean, I get it. We ain’t devs. We have no idea of the amount of work required by these patches and modifications. BUT.
I was already feeling concerned about the “first version” of every new set. After all these years (yeah, new devs might came in, but seniors devs must still be here), you could expect that they’d have at least a LITTLE IDEA of how damage scaling works (I’m assuming they’re testing these new sets in intern before the PTR even goes live - or at least I hope it !)
My point is; when AoV Sader came out, it was trash. They had to DOUBLE his 6 pieces bonus to make it good (too good ? probably). If the bonus had to be DOUBLED, it makes me wonder if they really know what they do, sometimes.
Think about it, it had to be DOUBLED. Not +25%ed or not +50%ed. Doubled.
These are big adjustments that - again - make wonder if they know what they’re doing, or just gessing their way out of this.

Coming back to the new Necro set, do I have to assume that the people that CODE and DECIDE the game just looked at his - overall deceiving - “performance” and thought “nah, it’s fine like that…”

And we though Frenzy was problably the least good of all the new sets…
I just can’t believe it’s going to go live like this. Do they hate/despise Necro or what ?

Exactly my thought !

But then look at Frenzy Barb, that didn’t get a great change (but got something at least !) and that ain’t played because WW Barb crushes it all.

And yeah PoJ ended up being one the Monk’s Top build.
But to my knowledge, Typhon is not even near competing with any version of Vyr. Which means, also useless.

I hope Necro new set doesn’t follow the path of these ones, and instead, get super buffed just like PoJ and AoV Sader.
Come on, give the Necro at least one very good set, just like the rest !

Honestly lost for words regarding zero buff to damage and toughness to both Pestilence and Masquerade sets.

It’s not “new” that D3 devs ignores a good chunk of player’s suggestions/feedback but something about this PTR patch… Not sure what term to use here… Boring maybe? I mean there’s still time for changes, guess i’ll wait and see what happens.

The DEVS just dont get it. They dont understand how bad the mulitpliers are on the new sets. Its pretty obvious there is ZERO internal testing and actual player feedback if keeping to their 130 Statement is ignored

If you watch the streams, there’s a lot of new interactions from the changes to the DH set. They seem to have fixed a lot of the bugs. Might want to test stuff before declaring something to be broken. Might still be too weak, but they can always add buffs later once they see how it shakes out.

Unless the sets actually DO DAMAGE and are apparently viable top end. Why Bother even making them if nobody is going to play them.
