I dont remember prior to any other PTR launch that Blizz publicly said: “This is going to be a good one”
S24+S25 were really fun, are they confident enough to make it more fun than all these theme???
Man that “This is going to be a good one” makes me excited about what could be in it.
Awesome theme + huge QOL + ??? 
Today or tomorrow would be best. People are realy getting bored and creating stupid threads.
They always say every season is good because it would be stupid for them to not. “Yeah, this one is so-so” or “sorry, this season is crap…” just doesn’t look good for a business selling the season (not literally.)
Whenever there is hype, the end result is always 10 factors lower. I think I’ll just skip reading what the season theme is this time so I can be surprised and maybe then it will be “a good one.”
While the ptr itself is highly likely to launch next Thursday (pacific time), we may get lucky and see the ptr patchnotes today or tomorrow.
That said, we can only guess at the contents, and while it’s understandable to be excited, I’d recommend tempering your expectations if possible.

I’m hoping we get the notes today or at the very least this week.
However PezRadar’s statement about the PTR being at “the tail end of January” still leaves a lot to interpret. It could start on Tuesday like previous PTR rather than the normal Thursday which could mean 31st day.
The notes are released 1 week before the launch right? Normally.
Hopefully “tail-end” means last 7 days of the month? So if PTR launches on 26 we should get notes soon.
But latest is early next week?
They are going to drag the start of season 28 as long as possible so that season 29 won’t interfere with D4 Launch. My guess season 28 won’t start until March 3 and season 29 won’t start until Mid July. Just a guess.
That’s what I’m thinking, early next week patch notes will be revealed.
Tomorrow would be a nice surprise but yeah thinking early next week, the typical Tuesday or maybe Wed/Thur at the latest hopefully.

Assuming S28 is not the last one.
Yet, I think next tursday or even the last tuesday of the month? That would be the tail end of the month, right? That’s what Blizz said?
So no different than any other day on the forums.
D3 will have literally no impact on D4 so that is pointless. Blizzard WANTS all D3 players to move to D4 as well. They don’t care about D3 retention after D4 launches.
Also, releasing S28 in February doesn’t set the season 29 start date in stone. they can delay it as long as they want. The time between season starts keeps getting longer as it is.
I think it’s even more extreme than that, I think they’ll do everything to ensure D4 is the focal point once it’s released and not do a new D3 season. It’s more of a possibility than most are thinking. This really could be the last season or at least last new season (recycling would probably be a compromise).
Maybe not forever, they’ll probably revist and give D3 love after D4 been out for awhile, but wouldn’t be surprised if S28 ends out the year. If this S28 turns out to be ‘holy crap this is beyond epic waaay too fun’ than yaaah…big possibility final one.
At that point it’s not even bait and switch it’s more like okay make everyone happy, ride off into the sunset and yes, one last time - I’d be thankful. GG.

It’s unfortunate it seems that D2 and D3 are going to be starting seasons at the same time. Grr
