Straight to the point: Season 33 ends TODAY, January 5th, 2025.Asia + EU servers = already gone, sorry you had to find out like this. Americas = expected to shut down at 8PM EST (Google time zone converters to find out when that is for you). There is currently NO formal announcement for the end date being today, nor for what next season’s going to be, nor for when the new season will start.
With that in mind, let me formally double-dip this thread’s utility by giving the customary warning: do NOT do this week’s Challenge Rift! Save it for when the NEXT season starts.
Maybe we’ll get 2+ challenge rifts before the next season starts so we can open one and still have one for the altar. Gotta look for the silver lining.
Challenge Rifts change once, every Monday, around 1 PM Blizzard time (PST/PDT).
If Season 34 starts this Friday, January 10 and we save tomorrow’s Challenge Rift until then, we can get another one the following Monday. In this respect, we can get 2 CR Caches. One to open and one to sacrifice.
And, if we haven’t run this week’s Challenge Rift, we still have until tomorrow at 1 PM PST to complete it. Of course, we won’t be able to use it in Season 34.
My point is if the ending the season today is a mistake then they’re probably not starting a new season this Friday, so we’ll have at least 2 Monday before the next season starts.
