PS4 - cant pickup bloodshards to hit cap

I have 1090 blood shards, I need 1100 for the altar, my cap is 1110. There is a pile of ~300 on the ground but I can’t pick up the 20 I need from it to hit my cap. I have to spend the 300 so that I can pick up the entire pile at once to avoid going over the cap. This does not work this way on PC. Has anyone noticed this or found a work around?

Sadly, this was already mentioned.

Only workaround would be to spend shards just to get below what is on the ground so you can pick up all that is on the ground.

Here is a formula of how many BS you get per GR level:
https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo3/comments/13pqlfp/how_to_get_exact_number_of_blood_shards_1200_1300/

The formula is (#BloodShards = 3*GriftLevel + 127)

For instance, when I needed 1200/1600 shards I was running GR91’s (with starting point of 0 BS), since that netted exactly 400 shards per run.

Technically, you can run a GR level that will bring your BS’s to a multi of 25, spend down to something that has 400xX and run X 91’s to get exactly the BS’s you need for the Altar.

EDIT:
Supposedly the formula doesn’t work for GR sub level 42.

Good luck!

One of many things that make the console version inferior to PC. It’s like they haven’t properly tested it. If they did, they would know that converting gems one by one is beyond screwed.

The formula should work for GR 41 and higher. It doesn’t work for anything lower.GR 40 wouold give 247 blood shards according to the formula buy you actually get 240.GR 21 would be 190 blood shards but you get 100.

I added that the formula supposedly doesn’t work for GR sub 42, a minute after I posted it…

Your edit is what I was replying to.

Thank you, I figured there wouldn’t be a way to fix this, but the formula will help with hitting the cap.
