So I just had a 4 man and we did the first 3 keys and then nobody would admit to being the one who hadn’t used a key, so everyone gave up and left. Quite common I should think. There’s no record of who opened the rift and who didn’t.
Someone probably thought that only one key per group was required and too embarrassed to admit it.
Maybe. 2700000 characters
Well, only one is required. I don’t do groups in D3, definitely not public ones, but I’ve played plenty of other games and anything that only require one persons resources to grant access will have people leech.
Only one person in a group needs a Scream to open an EN for the whole group.
You assume wrong, you only need one scream per group, not per person.
Basically, the issue is that someone who has no screams joins a group where everyone agrees to contribute (ie. 4 runs with each person using a scream for the group benefit) and gets to enjoy 3 of them for free.
Ahhh… I stand corrected. I never joined EN in a group. Sorry

Lol 1st World Problems.
It would have been better to increase the drop rate of PS fourfold and require every player to have a key in group games.
People get evicted in the first world too. Too many times for some. LOL
The best way is for each player to announce how many keys they have (or how many they want to spend).
Make it easy, last person to join the group opens first EN.
And what if the first person is the one without a scream?
If all four players are stood in the vicinity of the Cube, you can’t tell who opened the portal. So, when it’s a player’s turn to open the EN, the other three players stand nowhere near the Cube so they can watch the 4th player walk up to the Cube and open the portal.
I wouldn’t have a problem with letting people ride on my scream, I do it all the time with vaults. The issue is the game not consistent. On GR’s everyone needs a key, but on Vaults and EN’s only one person is required.
I’m with Scourge.
It is though, anything that opens via the cube only needs resources from one person, or rather the only thing that requires resources from everyone is GR, anything else in the game that requires resources to access only require them from one player. (Whimsyshire, Übers)
Maybe you only have one person by the cube when it gets opened? That way you know exactly who uses a key. I dunno, seems there are always douchey people doing douchey things though. That’s why we can’t have nice things!
Then you kick him/her and invite another one that will open the EN, and the cycle continues.
The D3 Leech culture! Imagine whom gave that “amazing” idea…
