the problem is that im trying to farm the pestilence set for the necro (i only have 3 now) and all the times i find a green drop it ALWAYS is: an INARIUS set or TRAGOULS set or the COMPASS ROSE ring. just to give some number, i finded 13 pieces of inarius set, 12 of tragouls set and 6 compass rose. i also tried to find a solution on internet but the problem is that all the similiar topic cames from people that paly a T3 o T4, but im playing at T11 and GR50. do someone has a similiar problem or knows if im doing something wrong? it is realy annoing to play for 3-4 hours only to find the same loot every time.
That won’t help him turn inarious into pestilence
Before someone turns over an old stone and claims this is a conspiracy, it’s just RNG coupled with a low sample size. Over time you will find they drop at exactly the same rates. That is if you believe in math.
That said, running the highest rift you can under 5 minutes is often said to be the best way to get items. Bloodshards are particularly useful for picking up specific set items. Public rifts also drop a lot of items.
You just have to keep playing more than a few hours total. You will get them. And it gets a lot faster at and above the levels you are playing at.
It is not an “always” situation. You have noted that you have three items already. QED.
i never believed this game is pure random
It’s just bad luck. I’m still looking for a decent Compass Rose, while you seem to be getting loads of them. That’s life (and RNG).
Seriously, this is not a bug and there’s nothing you can do. Keep upgrading yellows, spending shards and farming in rifts. You will, eventually, find what you need.
Edit to say: If you have a complete set already, albeit not the one you want, use it to play higher torment content - you will get more drops and, consequently, a higher chance of finding what you want.
ok thanks everyone. im gona play and hope for something good. thanks again for the help, realy
What you believe is irrelevant when there exists entire fields of math and science to study, analyze and verify or disprove said beliefs. And indeed, many have studied this specific phenomenon and have always come to the conclusions that your beliefs are not valid. A quick google search is all it takes to confirm this.
Subjectively, I don’t buy that
- Developers are lying about mechanics
- Or that developers are creating needlessly complicated systems that somehow manage to both fudge drops AND confirm expected statistics.
- Or that they somehow have an interest in being vindictive.
What’s the advantage of being a jerk to some random nub with a belief? What does that bring to the game. Why would they create so many game mechanics specifically for navigating RNG if they don’t actually want you to?
It’s complete nonsense.
OTOH, objectively, confirmation bias and all sorts of magical and deluded thinking are well established in the field of psychology dealing specifically with the human ability to parse and respond to statistical/probabilistic events. Freud, hell, Aristotle could probably tell you all the flaws in your line of reasoning.
People with beliefs, instead of facts, are why casinos are still in business.
Keep banging those rocks together, guys.
It’s still annoying though…
RNGeezus is real, knows what you want, and just out of spite keeps it from you
Once you let him into your heart, he’s really hard to get out!
