HI all been playing daiblo for a while now this season, but ive come into a strange error.
i can get into the battle.net app and start daiblo 3 its when i click START GAME thats the problem. then game will then crash to desktop with no warning or error report. i then have to restart my computer in order to fix this as it still says im playing the game when im not
things i have tried are -
1 - reinstalling the GFX card drivers from fresh
2 - deleted the Dabilo 3 cache folder
3 - logging out and back in again.
4 - Reinstalled the game
5 - tried disabling the sound
any help on this i would be greatful only got a few things left to do in this season would like to finish them
That is odd that the game isn’t giving an error when it crashes on startup. Could you provide a DxDiag file so we can look for clues as to what’s happening? Just copy and paste the text file created and paste it between two ~~~ like so:

dont know if that works. sometimes it lets me in to the game when i click start game but it kicks me within 2 secs, please note the game is still running in task manager i have to end the tast in order to try again.
ok i logged in today to give it a try and sadly it didnt work for me, i read on some forums that its a sound issue so i turned the sound off but when i clicked on accept or apply after changing something it does the same thing kicks me back to desktop with the game still running in the task manager… with no error ?
That issue was fixed in the last patch and the various « solutions » that were being used by players are no longer required… I think. The latest patch was released Tuesday, 31 Aug. You can check that you have the latest Diablo III version by checking under the Play button on the Blizzard App (aka “the launcher”)… it should say: Version 2.7.1.77744 .
You didn’t say when this issue started… nor if anything changed on your system between the last time when everything was working and now. Are your Razer BlackWidow Chroma keyboard and/or Razer DeathAdder Elite mouse new additions ? Your video driver for your NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is dated August 27… does that coincide with the start of the issue ?
thanks for the reply Version 2.7.1.77744 is the version im using. the problem happened yesterday around 2pm ish i was playing the game with no problems. i ran out of keys for Gr and i backed out of the game and set it to public and rift to farm some keys quicker when i clicked join game thats when it happened… i asked guild meber and they said there was an update, not 100% sure if the game crashed me out then updated or it updated before i started playing etc, Razer keyboard and mouse have no drivers installed becaue they create problems. never had a problem with them running that way. GFX drivers have been uninstalled cleaned and reinstalled fresh (just to rule it out) im at a loss here, im having to play wow classic just to bide some time lol… war zone works, wow and wow classic all work.

Just tried again, it let me into the game but when i tried to move any control it did it again…
strange never had this before… all other games are working as they should its just diablo 3. valorant workig fine just tested.
I have the same problem. I started playing with the new season and couldn’t play because of these crashes.
My game just crashes at 64 bits. When I change for 32 bits. It works just fine, but the load time on inventory is very bad, so I wanted to play 64 bits.

Ok i have solved it now. after going through all that.
i believe it has to do with some Ransomware Protection build into windows 10
and the Controlled Folder Access i have now sence turned it off and the game is working now. it has always been on so dont know what has changed maybe a windows update ?

You need to upload the picture to a picture hosting website such as imgur.com and put a link to it in your post.
You probably won’t be able to put a link in your post UNLESS you convert it to preformatted text; to do so :
put the link in your post as you would normally,
highlight the entire link,
click on the </> button on the formatting bar at the top of the composition window to convert the highlighted link to preformatted text.
The link will look something like : https://i.imgur.com/yvGWPOj.jpg and we won’t be able to click on it… but we will be able to copy the link and paste it in our browser to see your picture.
