What is the point of having lots of primordial ashes, since you can only use one on your character. I have 4 ancient primal but none for my character, turning them to ashes does not help since I have converted one already.
Unless you can find primal that helps your character, after one use of ashes, the rest is a waste of time. What you think
I feel Bliz should, at the very least, put the 15 Lost Souls for salvaging back in (alongside the ashes).
Otherwise, like you pointed out, after not too long, it’s just going to be a pile of useless ashes. If the Lost Souls were put back in, there’d at least be a purpose to salvaging primals.
You might want to reforge it (using the “craft primal” recipe) and guarantee it remains primal since it is still possible to get garbage affixes.
I have rolled a perfect weapon using the primordial no need to reroll, Now what to do with the pile of useless ashes. I have played hours on this game (not complaining). I did not get one primal that help my character. I did get 10 useless primal, so frustrating!!!
lol
You can have 15 characters.
I also got a life and a wife lol
So? Making a guaranteed primal for an alternate means it makes playing that one much easier and faster.
Or, you do what anyone sane does and you ignore having so much ash and use it only if, and when, you need to. Since it’ll carry over to non-season, that means only if you plan to play that mode. If not, then who cares about it? If so, then you have a leg up.
This is a solution without a problem.
Then some unused mats in a video game shouldnt bother you? Eyeroll.
People who want perfect rolls and play multiple builds will use up all their ashes.
Not to mention when you do drop a primal version of your converted item, you will no longer need the converted item and you can use the ashes to fill another slot with a new converted item.
Don’t do that. You will just waste ashes.
If you get bad one salvage it instead to get 55 ashes back before you spend 100 on next attempt. Of course you do need quite a few spares of item you want to upgrade.
Unused Ashes are for alt characters. Also, there is a really low chance that your first crafted Primal weapon with Primordial Ashes be perfect. If the Primal weapon rolls are perfect or you rolled an easy-to-please armor piece, you can be rejoice and just let the rest sit there.
You can use them for your non-seasonal characters later, if not for the seasonal alts you may have played. In case your Primal weapon or item, is not optimized for your build and you have plenty of Ashes don’t be afraid to salvage any Primal you wish and craft again.
Then… you find a perfect primal weapon… you can wear that… and roll yourself another perfect item for another slot.
Does logic just escape this forum?
Exactly. For example on my wizard I started like many by crafting a primal Grand Vizir. Took me a few tries to get a good one with 10% damage and AD. Then later I found a natural primal Grand Vizir. I then used the primal receipe to craft a squirt amulet with arcane damage, cc and dcc. It took me MANY tries (each time from a different squirt) to finally get it! That helped a lot doing my 150 solo in 10mn
Only primal ancient Yang’s I’ve found wasn’t as good as one I got by upgrading. Even primal ancient Cluckeye I’ve found was worse than ancient Cluckeye scoundrel has.
Cool story. You have entirely missed the main point but indirectly answered the question.
I’ve gotten tens of primals, but still haven’t managed to roll my ring with correct stats. And not all my builds even have the crafter primal yet. Seems there won’t be any extra ash piles for me for a long time.
You could also make a topic about having too many crystals, too many dusts, too many reusables, too many dbs, too much gold. And when you use the ashes to make ancient puzzle ring you can complain about too many gems.
How many people do you think will be playing this game post season? By the time season is over Diablo IV will be out.
This only makes sense if you just play one build. After completing the altar, I went through a dry spell of primals. When I finally got 2, I crafted a perfect The Grand Vizier. Then, I wanted a perfect Aether Walker for speed content and that’s when things got ugly. I’ve crafted 6 completely useless ones before getting the one I was looking for. Needless to say, it took me quite a long time to get all those primals.
So if you want perfect items for multiple builds, you may not have “lots of primordial ashes”. Imagine trying to craft perfect quivers or orbs.
Haven’t actually tried to see if it’s possible, but can you cube puzzle rings to primal and then open ancient vaults?
That could be a way to have a bit of fun and use extra ashes to help out other players and friends.
I do wish there was another decent way to use ashes though. Maybe you could pay some on greater rifts to get an extra gem upgrade.
Took me 18 crafts to get a perfect quiver.
