Primal itens buff idea

Primal itens were meant to be the strongest but nowadays ancients are always better on builds because u can drop lots more ancients and get your perfect item, to balance this and give primal the “perfect” item feeling, primal itens should be able to change two attributes in mystic.

Do people still care about primals most of the ones I get are junk. I only have 2 this season and one was blackthorns. I hate it when I get a primal and it does not even have a legendary power. Primals need a total revamp.

I agree with you Santoro

Mixed feelings here!
Dropped some Primals this season, mostly unusable trash with no Legendary Powers and, the most notably, 2 Inna Sets: Head (utterly trash with Gain health on spirit spent + Spirit Regenaration; only one can be rerolled) and Torso (nice one!).

But agree it needs rework.

It’s so rare, make every slot rollable.

That helm is BiS rolls for I6R4 bounty build. (Best bounty build in the game)

Reroll the LpSS to ChC.

This. Primals should not be locked to a single reroll. Make it stupid expensive but make it possible. Primals are rare enough as it is.

Already did that!
For bounty is Godly indeed, for push isn’t that good thou

Another fix would be to allow the player to reforge a primal and have its status stay primal.

No it should cost the same. Nothing would be worse than finding a primal, having it roll terrible, then having to farm a ton more mats to not make it terrible.

At the same cost you’re just straight shrinking the game’s length. Make it take something that you don’t have much use for. Death’s breaths become very common by the time primals are your only upgrade path. Make it take 10 DBs per reroll. At the same time as making the game more enjoyable by making primals actually useful, you give players another incentive to use all those DBs they’ve been collecting.

Make it 100 or 1000 still more worthy than have a bad rolled Primal

Honestly 50-100 is probably a better take. The RNG is a lot lower rerolling primals since if the stat you want comes up, it’s guaranteed to be perfect.

Sure thing. The whole idea of Primals was it would be the Perfect end BiS item… instead Blizz managed to botch it with useless stats

I don’t think botch is the right word. They extended the end-game but did so by just extending the item hunt, which was already rather dull.

Primals are just a chase item due to giving you that last bit of damage or toughness buff which is usually small. So I would say no to having the option of changing two affixes with a primal. Because then the only thing you would be looking for is just two affixes instead of three which is what it should be.

Primals are something that should take a long time to find. Not something that falls into your lap.

Also they are not needed to clear the highest tiered GRs. Well rolled ancients with the right augs will do just fine.

Not really. When I find a perfectly rolled item, it should be BIS. Very, very, very few players are finding 13 in a season for 1 build. This includes those “players” that play 20+ hours a day and log in more than 2000 hours a season. It will still take an enormous amount of time to make just 1 perfectly rolled build.

If you increase the reroll rate to 50 to 100 times, you create a scenario where you need a ton of mats to fix a primal. I can easily reroll 20+ times at the mystic just to get the stat I want. Now I have to pay 1000-2000 the mats cost or more just to fix one stat. Most primals need 2+ stats fixed. I do not want to farm a ton of mats just fix something that shouldn’t have been broken in the first place.

Keeping the cost the same isn’t going to change the game length by any significant amount.

I see no universe in which this is true. You said yourself most primals need 2+ stats fixed. This means 1/3rd to 1/4th of the primals you find are useful, assuming they’re the actual item you want, which has an even lower chance of happening. Thus, almost as many of the primals you find compared to ancients are not useful. By keeping the cost the same, once you find a primal for an item you can use with all of its stats forever rerollable, finding that one primal means you’ve now found a best in slot item in short order unless the mats to reroll it are fairly rare.

Just taking this opportunity to share how I spent all of last season not getting a proper ancient Istvan’s sword (think it was Little Rogue) and finished with a measly non ancient and then when re-organising my non season stash remembered that I got a primal one (with one useless attribute to re-roll and make it perfect) which is more than enough of an increase over the season one that I could have reached my season goal GR.

But they are mostly just for glory items since even those perfect ones are like what, 2-3% increases? The best part of primals are the beautiful red beams and pentagram icon and the border.

I care about the first primal drop in a season and that is it. Usually, it is garbage. Or more specifically, for a class I am not playing or have not played in 3+ seasons.

I do not expect to see more than the one guaranteed so if I do, OK, maybe I’ll get something decent but for the most part, I just try to get ancient quality so I can augment it. I do not always even get that primarily because I do not like to play GR treasure hunt. And the reforge option is ridiculous.
