Maybe I’ve been lucky this season, but it seems like the Primal drop rate has been buffed. I’ve already found 16 primals (6 from upgrading items at Kadala) with the double Primal drop. This is only the 4rd day. If this is the norm, I can envision where all the items on you character will be primals. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I just wonder what everyone less experience has been.

I’m paragon 1k and have found 2 primals outside of the freebie. For every one of you that has crazy good luck, there’s one of me with horrible luck lmao.

Btw, Nemesis drops 3 legs now.
The first 6 primals were hard to get, but after I open the double primal seal, they seemed to start dropping quite fast. Like I said, it could be luck and probably won’t get another primal for another two weeks. Hope not. 
I haven’t unlocked them yet. It would be hilarious if I get the node that doubles them before I hit GR75 solo.
Same! They are way more common than ramaladni gift, as far as I am concerned! Already got 4 primals, but 0 ramaladni gift so far…
Sitting at 839 Paragon, all the season stuff finished, altar completely finished minus 1 of the potions. I’ve only seen 3 primals so far, been speed farming GR 90s all day and I just need 3 more to completely finish the altar.
It’s all luck. Me and my buddy are around the same paragon 1k ish. I’ve gotten 11 after my freebie, he’s only gotten 2 after his freebie, which were my drops that I gave to him so he could start working on unlocking his potions.
RNG is RNG
From ~800 to 1280 paragon, not a single primal has dropped. Must have encountered well over 2000+ or legendaries between reforging, crafting, and upgrading rares. The sad part is I cannot get the last potion effect — still need 110 ashes.
If I don’t see anything by tomorrow, I’ll delete the character and remake a new one.
I’m about forty paragon levels ahead of you, and in the same exact situation. I did speed GR’s (between 90 and 110) for eight hours today and a couple hours last night trying to get that last primal to get the third potion, and still haven’t got it to drop.

I have a mixed feelings about my primal luck so far. I’ve found 4 of them which is nice but 3 of them are useful, UE boots and 2 GoD pieces. I’ve salvaged only 1 primal, Tyrael’s Might, so I’ve only unlocked 1 potion power.
For once I’d like to get a few more useless ones to salvage and to unlock the rest of the potion powers.

Anyone know if crafting a primal with kanai cube grants 2 primals?
I know kadala will give 2 primals if you gamble one. Havent seen a primal kanai craft yet to confirm.
Boots are not that valuable as primals so they could be salvaged even though it hurts. Another thing; I checked maxroll and they show Capt. Crimson boots in their guides. But even if usng the set boots ordinary ancients should do fine. Tough choice of course.
I need three primals for the last seal.
For UE build you either need Captain Crimson boots or pants, you generally craft the one that has worse rolled UE counterpart. Basically if you have good UE boots but crappy pants, you craft CC pants or vice versa.
I might end up salvaging the UE boots anyway at some point, I have primal boots in non-season already, with an augment.

Look at my DH bow or my wizards staff for a crafted primal. And only one gets crafted per try
I started funneling my primal drops to a friend because he has seen 0 since his freebie and I’m up to 15 now, we’re roughly same paragon as well.

Fairly unlucky with primals so far. No drops since I finished my altar on Sunday.
But that’s RNG - I got lucky with Gibbering Gemstone and the other Staff of Herding mats. Everything balances out eventually.
Crafted set primals salvage into 55 ashes too. If need to make some Guardian’s/Aughild’s/Crimson’s still, you could do that now and see if you get any primals you can salvage.
I’ve already salvaged two poorly rolled primal Guardian’s bracers (wrong elements and no natural crit). I was pleasantly surprised when it salvaged into ashes, I thought I’d get the parts/dust/crystals you usually get from salvaging crafted items.
