Please make LOD gem and LON rings give triple the bonus if primal ancients are used. It would make us want to keep more primals to have fun with instead of salvaging them for 15 forgotten souls. I don’t know if anyone uses the LON rings anymore, but I just in case there are people who use it…please buff it. If not now, then when D4 comes out to make D3 some what fun to play when people want to play it for the first time or go back to it for nostalgia just like how some are playing D2.
I understand that giving set bonuses too much power will have people complain about balance, but there are already people clearing GR 140-150 due to botting or playing 4 man groups with meta push itemizations to get paragon to push near GR 150 anyway. Giving us this change will make the game more fun by letting us use more primals and clearing a bit higher than before depending on what items are used. It may allow people to do higher GR than before without having to grind 1000’s of paragon in order to do so. I work full time so I don’t get to grind as much as I want since my schedule keeps me busy. Do this for us commoners and casual players!
Like if you want to get the DEVs attention to make this happen!
Indeed, there are some classes who have extremely powerful LoN/LoD builds and get near to or reach 150 even at its current power. Any increase to that degree would annihilate the rankings.
As already stated, some of the most powerful builds are LoD based. Any extra buff in any form to primals would just make those builds more powerful.
LoD builds require specific items with specific affixes. A random primal, no matter how much buffed, is not a substitute. Giving primals extra buffs doesn’t create more diversity, it decreases it.
Every time I see this great suggestion I think of the season where I got one as my first primal and how that would have been quite a cool resource boost for the start.
If you were going to wish for something with Primals or just Ancients in general, it would be to allow the secondary characteristic numbers to be modified. All too often you get just thing you were looking for in an Ancient or Primal and that stat is crap.
I don’t think that would be OP by any stretch. An alternative would be to allow a 2nd primary to be enchanted, even if at a cost (like a Gift like item that could be it’s own searchable item), and once you begin the 2nd enchant process, you only have the one stat able to be rolled.
That is a good idea. It doesn’t even need to be an all that rare item for it to be OK. Could have it so that every salvaged primal gives one of them. Because we do need every red beam to be meaningful in my opinion.
I have had 6 of these and they are really no better then a ancient puzzle ring. They are really worse then a ancient ring. Every one that I used was really bad when it came to goblins.
Plus the other day somebody use a ancient puzzle ring. It was the worse one I have ever been in. We had less then 10 goblins. Plus out of the whole run till we got to greed I had one Leg drop.
I’ve had ancient vaults with zero goblins beside the 3 guaranteed hiding in the gold piles. The number of monsters inside the vault is random between zero and a ton, only difference in the ancient one is they are all goblins, numbers are still random between the same values.
today, primal rings are the same as ancient puzzle rings and yes, you can have a turd or two of ancient puzzle rings even if you are playing t16. I ran a few rings with a buddy and some ancient vaults are just crazy better than others.
what would be great is if you used a primal puzzle ring, it opened a primal vault (not ancient) and inside you could have jelly goblins at least 1 100%, maybe a rare chance at one of those very rare named unicorns or maybe even a chance at one of the zombie girl pet or a gibbering stone! (gah i hate farming that damn thing) hah
