I have a monk 70 caracter, non seasonal. Can primal ancient drop for it?
Did you cleared GR70 solo before? The Primal item only drop when you cleared GR70 once.

Well that is your assumption. One could also assume that if they do not know that primals can drop in non-season, they also might not know that you have to unlock them by clearing a lvl 70 solo once.
Also there was no “No, they cant” in Kilometers anywhere.
His hint that you have to unlock primals , automatically implies that they also can drop on non-season.

Yes, Primal Ancients also can drop in Non-season too, but before they can drop you have to unlock them by running a greater Rift 70+ solo once.
Nevertheless, i think the author of the thread did understand…the answers.

Sounds like someone woke up cranky this morning.
Since the OP did not know that Primals are available in non-season it is also safe to assume they did not know that a GR70 must be cleared first. Kilometer’s answer was perfectly valid.
I think someone needs to check their Ritalin level and chill out.

When i began farming greater rift I might have skipped the lvl 70. I was always trying to clear the highest GR the game was suggesting to me. Today i’m able to clear lvl 112, so i went back and choose to do the lvl 70 gr. I finished it.
How do i know if it’s unlocked? Coz i had no achievement when i done it.

It won’t show as an achievement. But if you cleared 112, you’re good to go (has to be at least a lvl 70, not lvl 70 in and of itself). Remember, primals are few and far between, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t find any right away. Most are useless, anyways. You are only guaranteed a primal when soloing a GR70 for the first time during seasonal play.

You will know it is unlocked when you get your first primal. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell on non-season, but play enough and you will get one. They are somewhat rare, so don’t get too frustrated and 99.99% of the time the primal will be a trash legendary and/or have rolls on it that are totally unfixable, so don’t focus too hard on them.
If you play seasons instead of non-season, you will get an achievement plus one free primal when you complete your first solo GR70. You can do this once each season. The achievement is mode independent (you get the achievement once regardless if you complete it on hc or sc). The free primal drop is different, you get once on hc and once on sc for completion of a solo GR70 on each mode.
Again, I wouldn’t focus on farming primals. This generally leads to anger and frustration as the vast majority of primals are trash.

all makes sence now. i’m absolutly not focusing on primal but I was just wondering if it was normal at almost 1000 paragon didn’t drop any.

Your bloodshard cap is calculated as follows…
500 + ( 10 * your highest successful solo GR clearance )
When you successfully clear a solo GR70, that makes the bloodsharp cap…
500 + ( 10 * 70 ) = 500 + 700 = 1200
So, if your bloodshard cap is 1200 or more, you’ve unlocked primals in that game mode. The unlock is separate for each of the four game modes, i.e.
- softcore seasonal
- softcore non-seasonal
- hardcore seasonal
- hardcore non-seasonal
The achievement is only for seasonal heroes.
The drop rate for primals, once you’ve unlocked access to them, is approximately 1 in 400 legendaries. So, farm as many legendaries as you can, in as short a time as you can, to maximise the number you get.

it can drop a primal ancient to any of your chars all you need to do is beat a GR70 solo at least once to get primals unlocked

My first ever primal was a puzzle ring, and I was very excited then was very sad… lol
Anyway… just follow the above advice if your blood shard cap is 1200 or higher you can get primals on that toon. Ive noticed for me that when I complete a GR that all the items tend to stack and the beams over lap… in those cases sometimes I dont notice I’ve gotten one and have almost scrapped them in the past (I swear I’ve never seen a pentagram on my mini map)

I can stack 1630 shards so i guess im good. Very low drop rate for primals and i just have to wait. No hurries im only para 950.
