Ho, I am experiencing an issue after returning to play Diablo III in Season 37.
I started the season from scratch and leveled my seasonal characters to level 70. I have completed Greater Rifts at levels 70, 75, 80, and higher (currently up to around Greater Rift 103), playing on Torment VI and Torment XVI. Based on this progress, I should have access to the Primal Ancient item drop mechanics.
I am aware that once the system is unlocked, the first Greater Rift Guardian kill after completing a Greater Rift 70 solo should guarantee a Primal Ancient item. However, in my case, this did not happen. Additionally, considering the number of Greater Rifts completed, Nephalem Rifts, bounties, cache rewards, and other loot-related activities I have done since then, I would reasonably expect to have obtained at least one Primal Ancient item by now.
For some reason, it appears that the Primal Ancient drop system has not been activated on my account, despite meeting all the known requirements.
I would like to ask if this is a known issue or if there is something specific I need to do to properly unlock Primal Ancient drops.
You are guaranteed one primal drop the first time you complete GR70. if you missed that drop and salvaged the primal, you will have ashes in your crafting material inventory. Do you have any ashes in your inventory?
No, in fact, it would have been extremely difficult for me to miss it, even if I hadn’t picked it up, because I was playing with friends on Discord, each of us in our own individual game and streaming. I would have gone crazy and taken pictures of the item, but it only gave me the GR70 achievement and nothing else.
Yesterday I realized that I wasn’t getting any Primals no matter how many Dark Harvests, level 100 Fissures, or caches I was doing. Today I was farming caches with a friend who donated some Primals so I could upgrade the Sanctuary. I got double caches too, but still nothing. We were farming from 10 AM until 10 PM, but not a single one, even though he got several.
That’s why I’d like to know if there’s any way to check if it’s a bug or just really bad luck.
Looks like an unfortunate bug or glitch for your hero or account only. Maybe try and do a GR 70 solo with your demon hunter once you have gotten some gear for it. Shouldn’t be too hard when you can farm with your wizard.
I believe I have only seen very few complaints (if any) about not getting a primal drop after doing a gr 70 solo in season.
me on the other hand. my account doesnt drop primal items at all. i have collected over 9000 forgoten souls and had only 2 primal items so far. is something wrong with my account? what do you suggest i schould do ?
On your MashPotato AoV crusader? That’s a lot. There is nothing special to do but just keep playing, farming and hoping…
If you have been focusing on Visions for loot a good deal of the souls may have come from goblin packs. They can drop a good amount of souls. Apart from that Visions (of Enmity) are a good source of legendaries.
I already did that, I deleted my first arcanist and made another one to see if it could be fixed that way, I made the DH and another arcanist that has the items from the first one, but even doing the level 70 rifts again doesn’t seem to make a difference.
