Primal Ancient Item Vanished

In normal rift dropped Primal Ancient Item, I picked it and opened my inventory to check it but … nothing it was vanished…

Y, It happened to my seasonal demon hunter it was <70 lvl, nvm I will find new items, no problem, ty for the quick reply!

Then you are wrong. You cannot get a primal item until you solo a GR70. Not a bug.

It was with red beam, bro, … maby it’s bug…

Or maybe you salvaged it without realizing it? People get in such a rush that it does happens. And no, primals are lvl 70 - no such thing as <70.

No, bro I didn’t done that : ) , maby is was a bugged item.

Or maybe you mistook an orange beam for a red one. Without a screenshot, we only have your word. And since you haven’t described an actual bug, it sounds more like user error.

I’ve been fooled by a health globe dropped on a legendary before. This combo makes the beam effect look red. The difference is there isn’t a red pentacle in the mini-map.

It was almost like this  : https://ibb.co/bsB1yx9
but nvm

Boubou beat me to the post.

But, as he has shown in his screenshots, it is not easy to miss a Primal item when it drops. Not only do you get a red beam and the red pentagram icon on the mini-Map, but you also get the swirling red mist around the red beam. (See GIF below).

So, even if one drops in a pile of Legendary items, the Primal item should still stand out.

Three more things you can check:

  1. What is the highest Greater Rift Level your Seasonal Demon Hunter has completed Solo?
  2. Do you have the Seasonal Achievement Primal Soul-o?
  3. Is your Seasonal Blood Shard cap 1200 or higher?

If you have all three of those requirements, then you have unlocked Primal drops. Primal items will not even drop for you until you’ve completed those requirements.

Under level 70, Nephalem Rift guardians do not drop Greater Rift keystones.
Under level 70, the Obelisk in town doesn’t allow you to run a Greater Rift.

So, at level 69, you couldn’t have obtained any GR keys, or run any GRs, let alone have completed a GR70 (or higher) in under 15 minutes to get the 100% guaranteed primal, and unlock access to them subsequently.

I know there are a number of map levels, e.g. the fiery ones like on the way to Azmodan, where the beam from a non-primal can look red rather than orange, but primals also have swirly effects around the beam.

Regardless, at under level 70, there’s no way for you to have unlocked access to primals.

Bro, I play the game from a long time, partitipated in every season, done all Guardian objectives, unlocked Green wings… I’m telling you I was in Regular Rift with seasonal hero <70 lvl and a Primal Ancient Item dropped from Elite Monster kill and when I picked the item it was gone.

My mistake is that i didn’t take a screenshot…

And everyone is telling you that primals do not drop until you actually unlock them. It is impossible to get primals with a level <70 character.

Now, there is always a possibility you encountered a visual bug. While the item was never a primal, some glitch might trigger visuals indicating it would be primal.

Yeah, maby that happened.

There are some yellow items with Primal as part of the name.
In fact, one poster jokingly uploaded a shot showing his hero wearing All Primals. Yellow Rares.

And people are not only telling you that’s not possible, but also why it’s not possible, i.e. if you weren’t 70, you didn’t have GR keys, if you weren’t 70, you can’t access GRs, if you can’t access GRs, you can’t have done a GR70, if you haven’t done a GR70, you haven’t unlocked primals.

Everybody loves and looks for the red smoke, that’s for sure.

That is NOT possible.

Here is an image of my Level 1 (643) Season 22 Barbarian mule. Notice: She has 3 Greater Rift Keystones left (from my, main, Demon Hunter). And yet, my Level 1 Barb cannot open a Greater Rift.

You only have one Seasonal Character. Your Seasonal Demon Hunter is currently Level 70 (4). There’s NO way you could have unlocked Primal drops yet, for Season 22.

If you had unlocked Primal drops by successfully completing a Greater Rift Level 70 Solo you would have much more than 4 Paragon Points. (Greater Rift Level 70 is equal to running a Nephalem Rift on Torment 15). Are you running your “Regular” Rifts on Torment 15? (Rhetorical question).

Even once you have access to Greater Rifts, you can only enter a Level up to the maximum Game Difficulty you’ve completed a Nephalem Rift on. If you have completed a Nephalem Rift on Torment 2, you would only be able to start a Greater Rift between Level 13 to Level 15.

When you successfully complete Greater Rift 70 Solo and unlock Primal drops, you will get the following:

Blood Shard Cap ≧ 1200

You can check the highest Greater Rift Level you’ve completed with View Profile, select the current Season/Records, and get something like this:

In Summary

  1. You did not pick up a Primal item.
  2. You did not have a Primal item vanish.
  3. And this is NOT a bug.

Best of luck in your future adventures!

OK, next time I will do a screenshot.

Yep. A single GR70 without pools is enough to take you from paragon 0 to paragon 130ish.
