My GUESS is there will be 2 versions of the battle pass you can buy every season. 1 Standard, like which comes with the Deluxe Edition, and one accelerated, like what comes with the Ultimate. PROBABLY going to be about a 5 dollar difference. (so 10 for just the BP, 15 for some skips to be included)
Theres NO way they’re going to hand out free battle passes forever just because you spent an extra 10/20 dollars on release. Too much money to be made (or lost depending on how you look at it) there.

I would guess 10/20 dollars respectively as that’s the prices they use in CoD for an identical system in the same company.

And just to clarify a point:
There are two options for the premium battle pass, and the accelerated version gives you 20 tier skips towards the cosmetics but does not Grant you any advancement that the battle pass as a whole gives you playing the game.
Things to take away from this means that not only can you buy the premium battle pass which will probably equate to around $10 a season, but you’ll also be able to purchase tier skips to progress you through the battle pass faster and get the cosmetics quicker.
OverWatch has something similar with how they have their battle pass setup.
While I don’t agree with the pricing structure OverWatch is using for many of its items the battle pass in general is reasonable.

This. It is the first Season/Battlepass.
Seasons/Battlepasses will be about 3 months long so if someone wants to get the cosmetics for the next one, they would have to pay for that BP. The accelerated part seems to be just faster cosmetics. They are keeping any actual game benefits like faster leveling out of it.
Any new content/zones/quests for each Season will also be free (with the base game). It is the BP cosmetic that has a cost each time.

Accelerated sounds like it’s just skips for alts, kinda like the ones in Lost Ark. Boosts for Alts.
I just upgraded to the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Who really needs the skips for the first season anyways? If you are already going to pay for the deluxe version, you are probably going to play through the entire first season anyways. Waste of money so I suggest saving it. LOL at whatever the emote is…

A other 10 bucks for this and 20 skips (that most people who play even casually wont need) by end of season.
Hard pass, though I am biased and dont give 2 shts about anything cosmetic in games anyway.

Honestly speaking, there’s little reason (in terms of gameplay) imo to go higher than the standard edition, unless you either truly want the early access and/or simply desire to support Blizzard by getting the deluxe or ultimate editions.
