I started with 276 items… I’m down to 226 items… it really did not feel like I had only claimed 50 items!
Anyway, first night of stash tetris, I focused on merging my seasonal H90 build with my NS H90 build… had only about 30min so I started with an easy one and my alt Barb is done. MOTE and R6 were already sorted considering I had no NS builds of these sets to merge.
Tonight, I worked on WotW, IK and zdps on my main barb. All sorted including BK and solo speed variants of WotW!
Don’t have space in my inventory for LoD builds though so I’m now clearing out things from my stash to make space. I’d like to retain my LoD HOTA build and also put together one that uses Cleave and Bash since those skills get no love.
Lets see how many more items I have to sort through after LoD is set up.
I don’t really know why I save most of my crap, I hardly ever play NS unless I want to test something for the following season. I guess I’m considered a horder.
About 3-4ish seasons ago, I finally accepted that I will never use the vast majority of what’s in my NS stash. Things like collecting all the sets of all the classes, extra items that have decent rolls, etc.
So, I went through mass salvaged 70% of the NS stash. And interestingly, maybe a little surprisingly too, I didn’t regret it. I guess I just validated that I would indeed never use any of the delete items.
Now I have one tab per class, all of which are mostly empty, essentially containing only the items needed for an armory swapout. There are couple general tabs of specially items. And even a couple completely unused tabs.
Feels good.
In keeping with this, now all I do is merge the better pieces into what my are NS chars are already wearing, and delete all the rest on the spot.
I did a full clear of all my tabs save for the first one, that has my non legendary gems, gifts, screams, and whispers. I deleted all my old toons with their gg loots and high sheet damage. Eventually I will end up selling those if I need to make more room.
I figured I can do the same again if I wanted to, depending on the season of course and what characters I play. I made more room for the next season for different alts and mules. I hate swapping gear at the wardrobe and playing stash tetris in season.
Looking forward to season 35, especially as a ww/rend barb.
I probably need to do that too to a certain extent, some of my stuff is copies of other items I got. Like I have 6 or 7 Primal Yang’s bows, but I rolled them all differently so I could switch my build according to a stat that’s missing elsewhere on equipment I might have or use them with different sets.
A lot of my stuff is Primal with correct stats and it’s little deflating to get rid of stuff like that. But I guess if could force myself to do a clean up. Maybe it won’t fell as bad as I think it will.
On the other hand, my fresh alt account is pretty clean so I won’t have to do that to it for quite a while.
I have sets/rings/common weapons/armor in the stash. One completely empty stash tab when I decide to play a toon in NS to unload the stuff he/she has in his/her inventory.
One stash per class. I have one of each class in NS for occasional play, and most common well rolled items on them.
One toon called “Gemholder” that has mostly 150 gems in his inventory and his Followers have spare follower gear on them.
I have 2 monks, coz I usually Rebirth one each season anyway. 2 HC toons and enough free slots to play every class per season if needed.
For this season I have the Monk, Barb and Necro ready for Rebirth.
Most likely will start with Barb, but if I will have to many issues leveling gems, Necro is there and the Monk usually for keyfarming.
That’s something I’ve always been doing thanks to vanilla having a paltry number of stash tabs. I keep at least one tab in the stash empty so I can put my toons’ inventory there when I play that character.
I still keep what I do for 4. reasons:
The items are things like the cosmetic transmogs (if my third account had RoS installed, I’d consider moving these there for longterm storage but I want to dabble in the base game from time to time).
I keep all sets as I still haven’t finished all the set dungeons. I know, do I really have the desire to do set dungeons? I try from time to time.
There are some gear that’s no longer in the game (e.g. the old iteration of Etched Sigil)
I do enjoy messing about with the odd LoD build of my own design. Often I don’t have the build set in stone and need to have different items for different slots saved so I can try different stuff.
Yeah, I’m currently going through wiping out anything that may have sat in my stash for a bit too long and won’t ever be used as the meta changed over the years, or now that I have replacements after this season. Won’t be 70% of my stash though… but I think it should be enough to make room for the keepers from S34… note that not all of the remaining 226 items are keepers… I just didn’t have time to figure out of some of the items were upgrades or not (esp with zdps builds).
I have placed most of the Primal items I have found but I think I’m not even half-way done with the rest of mailed stash loot. Finding a spot for Primals were easy, as they’re so few but sparing space for good rolled Ancient items makes me anxious. I have to search, compare and decide if it worth keeping for providing the later iterations for end of Seasons.
Same here, but I mostly keep primals with correct stats, and ancients that rolled almost perfect and are hard to get. At this point (7200 paragons NS), I even pay attention to the secondary stats to compare items and decide what to keep. Since I am also using the enchantress 90% of the time, the other two followers work as mules. Each of my tabs is dedicated to one class and is like 70% filled, and I have one stash for gems, one for collectibles & rare transmogs, one for jewelry, two for universal weapons and armor (like aquila, in geom, stone gauntlets, etc.) that could be used by any class at any point, and I still have one empty stash to move items around and compare, when the season ends.
Had to make some tough calls with some of the gear but I kept the best and binned the rest.
Got a cleave and bash LOD build going which is actually quite fun in T16. Decided to put Lut Socks on him so he’s leaping around for some mobility. Also made use of that ground stomp/avalanche mighty belt for some extra damage and also to help keep band of might up.
