Giving directions might run counter to the goal though.
It varies from topic to topic. But when it comes to build creativity, it seems bad to express a specific goal, when the entire goal should be the opposite of specific.
Of course, designing (handholding) specific builds is what Blizzard usually do in D3. But it isn’t what they should do. So it seems positive if the changes are not specific enough to completely define the build.

Sadly in D3’s case build creativity isn’t exactly aimed for when it comes to these patches. So having some (or more clarity in most cases) clarity on their intentions would be nice.

Perhaps this is a small part of why the ptr is expanded. I like that they are watching what we do with the ideas they threw at us, waiting to see what we make of it. That is kinda how this ptr feels…

Agreed. But it seems different with this patch, for once. Shouldn’t that be celebrated rather than tell them they need to get more specific again

The new effects are still completely broken balance-wise, but design-wise they seem a lot better than 99% of the legendary and set effects in the game.

It might be a waste of time for sure. But people should still keep telling Blizzard that they are wrong and should change their view on premade builds. So it only seems positive if people are going crazy with ideas.

Really? It doesn’t seem too different imo, except they did touch a bit more in terms of balancing (So I suppose I could praise them a bit for that?) and QoL. The seasonal theme items are far too skill specific for my taste. At least with the Ethereals or Soul Shards, they were more on the generic side, which allowed for more builds and creativity. The sanctified items only affect certain skills.

Probably won’t come as a surprise that I agree with that
Just a step up from the 800% MOAR DMG! type of affix.

Yeah, best design yet imo. Broad, but still specialized. Ethereals seemed too generic/broad. Wasnt that just +100% dmg kind of thing.

I really don’t like the Witch Doctor too much, just slightly more than the Necromancer. However, I do want to T16 with Big Derpy (That’s what I call the Gargantuan) spreading Locust Swarm. It will spread the rune you choose too.

Once I have my fill with the WW pull and DH clusteray of light, I will mess around with the WD and go crazy bonkers bananas nuts nuts nuts on any T16 mob that thinks it can withstand the might of Big Derpy and his powerful body odor and flatulence.

LET THE FUN BEGIN!!!
