The issue isn’t so much that people make suggestions, it’s that not everyone will agree that those suggestions are improvements. I see a lot of suggestions that are outright terrible and, on the old forums, they would have been down-voted hard to indicate this. As we no longer have that option, they stay and the people making the suggestions instead have to endure responses telling them why it’s a bad suggestion rather than just seeing lots of thumbs-down.

On the old forum you would get lots of down votes just because you weren’t online 24/7. Doesn’t matter what you were talking about (my observation).

We had one guy who said that he would down vote everyone because he thought it was funny.
Others would simply down vote people that they did not like regardless of the subject.

All you have to do is call out “favored” people for being total hypocrites and you’ll be suspended in a hot minute. :wink:

Edit your HOSTS file (how depends on what your OS is) to redirect to 127.0.0.1 and then you won’t even be able to load the page.

The most effective method to get permabanned from most forums is to link the thing that shall not be named. The grosser the better. I advise you to find another method, any other method, of dealing with your problem.

I did that on Reddit…many many times. The virtual look on people’s faces when they clicked on the links expecting something good was comedy gold. Tickled myself silly. It’s gotten me perma-banned from a sub or two.

But it was worth it because I still laugh my candy bum off about it.
