Can’t fix what they don’t have to begin with.

nice try. I don’t know where you have been the last 3 weeks, but everything was presented on a silver plater, and even ALL the streamers advocated for the same changes. nothing. nada. nix.

want more feedback examples?

<wizards> can we get something against shoe-horning into channeling ?
<devs> here, we redesigned etched sigil
<wizards> that’s not what we meant

or

<wizards> can we make use of winter flurry?
<devs> here, it can buff hydra now
<wizards> that’s not what we meant

so many more examples if anybody is interested…

No need for communication if you don’t want to communicate because you already know you f#$&@ed up. I’ll ask again: Who the hell are blizz makeing this game? Because it seems they dosen’t give a damn about our opinion. But someones opinion maters i just don’t know who is that. D3 now officialy has the worst devs ever.

Blizzard usually does exactly what you are suggesting.

They give pointed guidance in the PTR announcement about what they want tested. They often place threads on the Feedback forum called [Focused Feedback X topic] to organize said feedback.

They have done this for years. It has not resulted in all the changes that the players want, although it does make it easy for the CMs to find specific feedback they way.

I am not sure if they did this the last PTR, but that is normally how it works. I am guessing you have not had the chance to participate in many Blizz PTRs.

Just because it is structured right - does not mean players get what they want.

Also, Blizzard has a ton of software data collection going on the PTR. So that collects a vast amount of the metrics they want to compare skills and use data. That is used in addition to the player verbal feedback.

As far as I can see, they’ve given zero reasoning as to why they’ve destroyed the DHs and WDs one and only push builds, either during the PTR or thereafter.

Being an expert you should then know that just because adequate or proper feedback has been sent, that doesn’t mean Blizzard is obligated to make changes.

I’ve mentioned this before, and this was taken directly from a long term dev responding to a similar question about “devs don’t listen” comments. So here it goes again.

They may not like what was suggested. It may clash with their design philosophy. They may have tried it and don’t like it. They may have tried to implement it and it didn’t work well. They may not have the resources to do so ir it would have taken too much time.

I’m not suggesting they don’t have time or money to revert changes or do some number tweaking. It’s obvious they want to nerf FB for what ever reason, maybe they took it too far, maybe they want other builds/sets to shine.

But suggesting the feedback system stinks because suggestions aren’t being implemented is just wrong.

And, if they actually communicated (as opposed to saying they want to get better at it and not doing so), they’d tell us which of these reasons was why they made the decisions they did.

Have you seen anything, at all, about why they destroyed DHs and WDs in 2.7.0?

But they don’t need to. This isn’t a democracy and we aren’t entitled to transparency like that. And really, do you think people would buy it anyways if they said look, we tried x, y, and ran into other technical issues that we couldn’t resolve in time, or what have you? People would be yeah right? Lazy Blizz just doesn’t care.

I don’t play DH or WD so I don’t really concern myself with that. I skim patch notes for new stuff and character specific stuff for Crusader and Bard. Everything else I don’t bother with since it doesn’t effect me.

But they keep saying they will get better at communications.
That’s why no-one believes it any more, because they say it, but don’t do it.

Blizz is the last company to need feedback. They must have gotten a ton already from WoW. Youtube and Social Media is the way to go, its way more commercial.

If they really want feedback, they could do some “marketting event”.

No one believed it before. Overall forum goers are cynical aholes when it comes to dev communications. It’s been like this for ages.

We didn’t used to be.
We got that way because of how often they said they’d do something and didn’t.

I’m talking overall, and yeah we have. This isn’t a recent trend here.

According to Wudijo DH is in a good spot.
Single target dmg was buffed quite a bit. The top clears all came from endless fishing for missile dampening (on top of everything else to fish), and if they had just removed that nobody would have complained.
