It would be cool to have “replay” option, similar to “challenge rift”. Pick a player on the leaderboards and test drive the build/rift/pylon spawn, whole thing. I’d prolly spend more time doing that than actually pushing.
This… Thats why with WW barb when ur pushing ur fishing for a Battlefields, Festering, or big Silverspire and a conduit. Then try to pull elites to the condy and pop it when trash is gone/almost gone.
Edit: Then again its like that every build when ur pushing IMO. Unless u save a power pylon on Floor 1 and come bacj to it later
again it makes sense in that first floor power pylon but may I suggest this
if you push say open map on map1… power pylon first floor if you have 3 or 4 packs elites spot, group them up & I would grab power instead clearing them gives a good time ahead.
Solo works well too again do not know about Co Op. If 2 packs elites dun bother skip to floor 2 instead save it for almost the end of GR.
Was suprised to see this post revived after 4 months…
@greenlobstar I am the original poster, I believe your previous post was intended for me.
You mention trying softcore because it was alot more competitive…
I’m currently #2 monk on HC with a gr 140 clear. Softcore #1 only has a gr 140. If you transplanted my run into softcore leaderboards, I would still be #2. My 140 run was 5 floors of crap, no conduit or power pylon. With a good rift, I could possibly clear 142.
My original post was concerning a person who cleared 2 rifts lower than highest clear, but he/she did it within 1.5-2 weeks of the start of the season with barely any paragon. Even a known cheater who had all primals barely beat that guy come the end of the season.
No. Even I know, as a rather casual newbie, that the seasons give you buffs and the seasonal mechanic which make you stronger than non-seasonal. That is why the non-seasonal are often lower, unless they have a lot more paragon points because those don’t reset.
the paragon from seasons, transfers over to non season in the form of XP… so essentially your non season toons will keep getting XP even if you don’t play non season, simply due to how everything transfers over.
What I meant was that he was comparing his 140 Greater Rift compeltion with seasonal buffs to a non-seasonal completion of GR140.
The non-season GR140 is more difficult with the exact same build due to no seasonal buffs/mechanics.
Still, he will technically still have a lot more paragon as non season than he does as seasonal player… and where did he mention non season compared to season??
he said Hardcore vs softcore… still seasonal.
I misread.
I thought they meant seasonal versus non-seasonal, where things aren’t the same because of lacking season buffs.
I’ve got to slow down when reading.
Edit:
I don’t know why it shows I edited my post while first posting it here. I changed it during first composition. This would be the first edit for this. Dumb dumb forums.
Lol or a 4th floor condy works too. I think i got like 5 packs with a casual 115 clear in S16:
saying it for years when we do bounties we get to see specific elites kills.
why can’t they do that on GR just implant elites icon on the map be it you want to go to the end to hunt them or not… nope I guess it is more fun to waste 50-1000+ keys for the perfect GR.
Lol wait so u dont like entering a GR and exiting over and over and over again. I thought everybody did. At least let us enter a rift and spawn a new 1 without exiting and re entering
I think TurboHud does show elite icons on maps as well as pylons.
the only game in my no life gaming played again & again & again but I really have fun doing it & although countless attempts I seem to do better & better forward.
Resident Evil Mercs
in d3 my gears can be perfect or higher paragon or whatever upgrade further sure I can beat XX GR but do it again nah… even with more upgrades or paragon so it became really bored
That’s the issue with most gamers is they simply lose interest. I’d say that for majority lose interest (70% +) simply because of the repetition isn’t enjoyable. I think short seasons would be more enjoyable and a lot more competitive for the masses. Maybe a month. Think of PoE races as an example. It would be interesting if Diablo took this ideology and implemented rewards such as cosmetics/banners/pets.
Time played during a season matters highly. There are some very efficient players that make end season (3 months) leaderboards a joke, comparatively. Once some players hit GR150 on SC on Xbox, they go do it on PC. SaltyFeelingz is one.
There are also others who just play to get the rewards and thats it… they play through the 4 chapters and don’t do anything else.
Another group of players, not sure percentages, don’t even touch non season… once everything transfers, they actually delete everything, and just play season only.
Some people are the other way and have never played seasons, not even once!
I really like seasons, it makes things fun, my off season character is very op, LOL. so everything is too easy.
That is how I like my characters, sending the minions of hell back to hell in mountains of meaty bits.
I don’t play seasons. I don’t like starting from scratch, and it took me so long to be able to do a GR70 the first time. I like cosmetics but some of them seem out of reach.
Now, if console actually got more stash space from seasons then I may be forced to reconsider. I need space.
@Teresa yah thats how i feel about Bloodborne and PoE lol. PoE gets real rewarding once u get to endgame and can handle T14+ maps. Bloodborne when u can handle frc depth 5 chalice dungeons.
@Eddie i solo push all the time non Season. How else are u gonna push with a Gen Monk lol??? About to hit the 4k mark with my non Season and my Gen Monk is starting to feel more tanky now.
@Icon I agree. Gamers nowadays in general lose interest quick and want stuff handed to them. Remember old school fighting games lime Tekken 3 where u had to unlock the videos by beating the game with different characters?? I never forget a friend of mine was saying some new school figjting games come with all the videos unlocked lol.
One good thing about PoE though is theres lots of players League and non League. I play 70% non league. Though am gonna start playing more non Leaque since its easier to get currency with the metamorph league.
unfortunately, no more stash space is coming to console. it lags the system down where its tied to memory. try having almost 350 stash, with 3 others in a game who each have almost 350 stash. lag city.
@spinning
i didn’t say everybody is either non season or no… i know there’s a few of yall who do both and to keep pushing in non, which is what the devs want yall to do, keep pushing in non season
I’ve heard that, but I don’t quite believe it because I know a bit better. If they did it right then it wouldn’t be an issue.
Also, I don’t like online play so much and definitely won’t pay the extra console fee for it. I think online play fees for console just to play peer to peer, like a more remote local network play, are not necessary to run anything and just a scam. Therefore, increased stash space would only affect me.
