Ploot = Diablo 3 outcome

Usual nonsense.
People that will want to have some close to decent experience will just do solo or private games, even more if they happen to run on few people like you. Public games are not viable with current systems.

I find it funny that you say this, as you have never played D2, only the beta, and what is worse, the rest of your comment is not even understandable, what the hell does “public games are not viable with current systems” mean? What on Earth does that mean? You mean with the shared loot system?

Hey, news flash, public games have been viable for 21 years and they are STILL going. You really, REALLY do not understand - at all - the game you are trying to radically change.

You never played D2 or what?

We do not play public games to farm items. If you want p8 MF boost and not loose items, just join a game and farm alone in it.
FFA is part of the game. Period.

LOL. Who said I never played? I’m returning D2 player. Game wasn’t as perfect as you picture it.

Still better than the trash D3.

And your wishes will do the game even less perfect.

You did, you said it. But you know what I never said? That the game was perfect, no game is, but that being said, D2 loot system is the best in any looter, which is why it got the moniker ‘king of looters’, and then along come casuals who demand ploot because you think it’s your ticket to getting HR drops every game, it won’t be, which will then lead you to immediately demand loot drop rate increases, which will then result in what you wanted all along - for D2R to because D3. I find so many “legendary” items in D3 ploot that the word “legendary” has completely lost meaning.

This won’t change items, but will be more fair distribution. Even local loot - loot spawns for every player and only that player can see and pick it up is viable, no need for that old fashioned who clicks faster or has faster internet connection stuff, instead of fighting over some scraps from bosses focus on trading, with a bit lower and less insane prices of items.
There is no need for that kind of competition in PvE experience.
Anyway we will soon see what happens next, you can play this game for next 20 years if you want to, but without changes and more content people will move out quite fast.

And us, we do not want wishes from casuals players who will play the game 1 year max, and after leave to D4.
FFA IS part of the game, and part of what make Diablo2, Diablo2.

Edit: And btw, i don’t care casuals leave the game. They are bad in pvp and i will still find easy 8 players game to have fun.

loot in D2 and D2R is not distributed, I tried telling you this before, you go out and find your own loot, you go questing or do MF runs, loot is not distributed, I do not know why you fail to understand this.

They’ll play it for less than 2 hours bro, but if they get their wishes, those of us who love the game will be stuck with their bad ideas.

You fail to understand that some people want loot distribution. For whatever reasons.
I don’t give a damn if they leave it or change the game in any way. I got the game I will play it, its up to developers to decide if they want to get more money and change the game or they don’t want more money and leave it as is.
By current standards its very mediocre game with plenty of competition on the market, people will play it once and leave. Next big game of this kind drops in december, others are in early access now.
The no change crowd around here is beyond silly.

Oh I understand you want it, I just hope to god that Blizzard stays strong and doesn’t put ploot in. The thing is, as a casual, why do you even need uber rare loot? You don’t. You can just log in for your 15 mins and just enjoy the game playing alone, which is what you said you would do anyway.

I don’t even intent to play multiplayer, maybe will try it a bit, but I don’t like this game in multiplayer one bit, its way to chaotic for me. I play slowly clearing and exploring maps, I don’t give a damn about people running like mad, farming one spot over and over. That way of playing is not fun for me and that’s what mostly happens in online games. Like I said they can remove multiplayer whatsoever and it wont affect me at all.

I respect that, but please stop trying to change the multiplayer aspect of it then.

I think they may change it soon after launch. This is not made for the few thousand players that are stuck in the past, sure they want some returning players, but they want to drag in new players as well, and they will not stay here for long without changes.

I highly doubt it, and yes the game is made for the millions of people who have enjoyed D2 over the years.

Those people didn’t live under the rock, they played more games and will get tired quite fast of this tedious and ancient inventory tetris, among other things that are horribly bad in this game. Obviously all reviews will be heavily skewed by nostalgia glasses, but people wont stick around for long. Just after few hours I got rid of all charms and left them in the tiny stash, cause how tiny inventory is. No free zoom on modern graphic mode, was also annoying to have only 2 zoom levels with default being way to far to enjoy the details and second one being way to close to play. That alone is a problem, add to that other issues that will surface after that nostalgia wears off.

I highly doubt it, they love Diablo II, just like I do, but like you clearly do not, you clearly hate the game and of course, want to change it. If you don’t like it that much, just play something else, as you suggested other people do.

I am not sure what you hope to achieve with this debate?

Surveys show otherwise. People want changes and new content.
