Oh no, it takes an afternoon to level. The absolute horror.
Clearly we’ve hit a crisis situation akin to the Coronavirus.

Stretching quite a bit here my man.

Why can I not like this post more than once
xD
Sure. And how many of those players do you hear complaining that it’s a horrible experience, and that they’d rather just have every character start at level 70 and completely eliminate the leveling process? Pretty much all of them?
Leveling up a new character solo is tedious for most, and they would rather get a power level. When I kill a hard-core character, sometimes I just don’t have the will to start fresh and level up a new one so that I can don my backup gear, so I’ll ask for a power level. Other times, I’ve saved up some really strong low-level gear, and I then enjoy using it. So by a small percentage it might be impatience, but largely I think it’s because there just isn’t anything fun to use at those levels. If there were some upgraded and additional sets to use, Born’s and Cain’s excluded, because those sets are already pretty good, there would be less pain and more interest in leveling 1-70.
Not my fault you said “6-8 hours” as if it was somehow a really significant amount of time.
Is this the first ARPG or MMO you’ve ever played? Because you get players in every single one of them that complain about the leveling process and wish they were max level. It’s not anything new.
The funny part is that such complaining is really WAY LESS relevant in D3 - because the leveling process is really, really fast.
I mean, if we were talking about a 100 hour leveling process, then yeah, sure, you treat it like the rest of the game and make changes and adjustments and such. But we’re talking about something that doesn’t take long at all, especially in comparison to similar games.
Have you considered keeping some gear like this…

I self-levelled a Barb 1-70 in under 8 minutes at T6 using that stuff.
Those types of builds are fun to set up (albeit a little time consuming) then going out and wreckin’ things. I did that once with my UE build. Another time, I made a lvl70 gold find build with custerians and xp gear/sets. Both times I was able to push 1-70 in under 10 minutes.
Well, there are several ways to do it, use decent, level appropriate gear and play the levels, use strong low and reduced level gear, and use level requirement removed level 70 gear and sets. I have done it all ways. I tend to get the most satisfaction when I start at T6 and roll back to T2 by the time I hit 70. Many times, an otherwise useless Primal becomes a perfect reduced level item.
I actually have started a gear set of requirement removed gear…

And this kind of thing is amusing and all, but it does not help one whit a character just starting out on a new account or in a Season.
Also, I would probably pass the lower levels faster by using the level 21 and 23 Born’s and Cain’s sets, and a rank 30+GoE in the weapon, just by virtue of the massive XP bonuses, but this is more fun…It’s going to be a (an) LoD gear set…lol. Swapping the Zei’s for it.
I think I’ll do the same for the Templar; a full set of RLR gear. So it will take me 5 times as long to prepare this gear as it would just to level the character normally, but it will be over 5 times as fast, so I won’t have very long to enjoy the fruits of my efforts…lol.
I’m going to have to do 75 GR35s to create the 15 additional rank 25 Gems of Ease I’ll need.
Should probably be done with the task by the end of S20…lol
