Your logic made absolutely no sense in any of those threads, and to me it looked like you were the one being shot down and ignoring any logical posts.

'Your logic literally makes no sense, if splitting the game can satisfy 90% of players instead of only having one server that satisfies 50% of players, then this would obviously be an inexpensive solution. Let’s not pretend like blizzard doesn’t care about player engagement numbers, and if that’s important then having a server where they can update content is NECESSARY. Otherwise that new content will end up on the original LOD we want untouched.
What you want is to leave the game untouched with NO answer to people who want content updates, which is problematic because eventually blizzard will cater to these cry babies once they see lower player retention numbers.
The developers want to preserve the original game.
The developers would also like a way to add new content in order to keep player engagement high over the years (or until D4).
Having LOD (original game preserved) and LOD Resurrected (frequently updated version of the game) would be the ideal solution for both the players and developers. We don’t want anyone to touch the original game, by having a resurrected server, purists don’t have to worry about changes coming to the original game years down the line.’

I disagree, you can see I’ve put a lot of time into making the points in OP. It’s worthy of it’s own discussion.
You dont need asets and lore to make a mod, doesnt pd2 have anough changes for you?, they did it without any additional tools.
That full of noobs garbage server has all you ask for to be introduced in this jewel of a game, qol, skill changes, new content, etc, wich is what i dont want to happen in this remastered game, because it is absolutely crap gameplay.
You are asking for an official modded game, no ty.

You’re arguing there’s a chance that having less options would satisfy more players, I’m absolutely dumbfounded by your backwards logic.
The original game will and always be intact, I don’t want people like you coming back a year from now and asking for QOL changes then messing up the core game.

The base game will satisfy the majority of the players, greatly, for a long time.

Ok and a year down the line when 50% of the members on this forum are complaining about balance issues, pvp, lack of content, etc. You don’t think Blizzard will add those changes into the server and mess with the core of the game?
They’ve literally done an interview where they said ‘balance changes’ aren’t out of the picture if the community asks for it.

Please show me any Original Diablo 2 forum that is riddled with such complaints currently, for the 20 year old game.

Are you serious, I’m seeing tons of topics that are ‘D2 purists are ruining the game’ we need ‘personal loot’ things like ‘charm inventory’ or adding commands like ‘/players 8’ to multiplayer.
That is literally just the tip of the iceberg, what about all the people whining and crying about nerfing runewords like enigma and grief, posts about nerfing baal runs. Come on, give me a break here. These are all the same people that are going to be whining on this forum till they get updates. Then there’s also all the new players that will eventually join (console players) that don’t know all the quirks about D2 and will want balance changes.
Stop pretending like there isn’t tons of whining on this forum or other forums.
Like I said, please show me another forum talking about original Diablo 2, where people talk about how the game is not good anymore and needs changes (not this forum).

Pls show us already those on the ORIGINAL d2 forums. Not here where the same 10 players makes those posts. And also show us the evidence that these players are purists.

To some people personal loot is a QOL change.
Rebalance also changes the way the game is played, I don’t know why you are playing some childish semantics game with me. At the end of the day most changes effect the core game, even something as small as ‘auto gold pickup’ changes the economy since people will be able to gamble more often and more easily.
