As a necromancer, it’s really frustrating to have your Revives get culled when they get stuck on a wall instead of teleported to you like Skeleton Warriors do.
I feel like some other summons have this issue as well, including Skeletal Mages.

It’s less an issue with the despawning of minions and more an issue with follower AI in D2. It would need to be reworked entirely.

Yeah the follower AI could use some improvement. Followers/Skellies/Revives in maggot lair and arcane sancturary – nothx.
Thats what corpse explosion is for.
It can’t be that hard to put in some proper pathfinding. And Acti-Bliz is a huge company with the resources to do it.

Well, yeah that’s a work around, but it would be nice to not have all the summons stuck in corners and disappear.

It’s not that it’s hard, but improving the pathing AI would directly correlate to a power void being filled which would be detrimental in some form or way since mercs are pretty useless as is right now… At least, in most cases.
It would need some considerate balancing.
Companion AI is just broken and need to be fixed, it is long overdue, wish we could get some clarification about it like the other bugs
Not too helpful for maggot lair and arcane tho since by the time you have enigma, you have little reason to go to either place.

“use teleport” is a stupid argument sorry, not everyone needs teleport, what if you are using auras on your merc for vigor, would be useless to use teleport

i think the can fiz a litle bid but merc will be get stuck at some point its in evry game i playet the same like in grimdawn etc etc
and than enigma is a must have in d2 to move quik and clean and mf

Someone playing for over 20 years would know you don’t start the game with enigma and further more how hard it is to acquire legitimately, you will probably need to mf and zap around quickly in order to find engima and not the other way around
so you are either a troll but I think what’s more likely is that you were one of those people that were always buying their items instead of farming, which is very clear by the way you describe enigma, you didn’t “play for over 20 years” you simped for over 20 years
