More features is almost always good for the players at the end of the day. And this particular feature could also potentially attract a new (relatively small albeit) audience.
Yes, I can see Blizzard re-releasing D3 on PC with controller support, put remaster/resurrected/reforged tag on it, and charge 59.99 bucks for it (including for those who already own the original pc version). Because this is what they do best
