Playing sesonal

so when the season ends and a new one starts if you have a player do you have to start over from scratch everytime

Yes. Hurry up and do the challenge rift (there are youtube guides also found here in the forum). This can give you a faster season start. (Also if you follow some guides).

Yes, it’s from scratch. If you make additional seasonal characters each season, they can pick up on the progress like altar or paragon.

At the end of Season, any Seasonal characters revert to non-Season. If you played last Season, check to see if materials were mailed to Non season. You only have 30 days to claim the items.

Hi,

Blizzard used to publish information about the end of season process, but don’t anymore. The last time they published it was on 31 Aug 2018… for Season 14 :

The stuff on that page is pretty old but still applies today.

I’d like to second this… many new players have lost some good items that were in their seasonal stash when the season rolled over… because they did not move them to their non-seasonal stash after the season ended. So, if you haven’t yet… now is a good time to:

  • create a game with a non-season hero,
  • click on the “mail” envelope in the bottom left corner of the screen, and
  • move the items to your inventory and then your stash.

If you had many items in your seasonal stash, you will need to repeat this moving until the envelope is emptied.

Best of luck in your games !!

this and also look up information on the Altar of Rites… the node that reduces the level requirement of items to 1, and the mats from the CR cache will allow one to upgrade their artisans and craft and use a lvl70 weapon easily… really helps speed up the leveling process for casual players (that’s coming from someone who usually asks for a power level but decided to level up normally last season… this season I was offered a plvl part way into my leveling process).
