Hello Diablo Com. i have a problem or a bug with izual/Smith
i killed izual and aktivated the plan at the Smith but i cant craft the Staff of Herding he is not listet to the crafting items Smith is at all items and still no Crafting Plan
i farmed izual like 7 hours and not dropping a new Plan for the Staff
what can i do now ?
Not a bug.
If you select Highest Usable in the drop down, on a hero that can’t use a staff…
If you select Have Materials in the drop down list, and don’t have the materials for the staff…
If you select All in the drop down list, you’ll see the Staff of Herding…

Did you definitely teach the plan to the Blacksmith?
For example, use the Stash’s filter option to check it’s not in your Stash, because if you right-clicked the plan in your Inventory with your Stash open, it went into your Stash.
Hi:
Is it possible you killed Izual with a softcore hero ? and that you are trying to use the plan with a HC hero (the Inna monk is HC). The plan does not transfer between softcore and hardcore… you have to teach the plan to the blacksmith in both modes.

i farmed izual at Qual 16 like 7 hours at hardcore and still not get the plan bc i aktivated the plan at lvl 70 at qual 1 mode

That is not was I was asking… difficulty level does not matter.
What matters is the mode… Hardcore vs Normal (not-Hardcore).
If you get the plan while playing Fistboy and teach it to the blacksmith, the plan only work for Normal; the blacksmith in Hardcore will not know the plan.
That is why you also need to find the plan in Hardcore, so that Hardcore heroes can use it.
You screenshot shows that the blacksmith has not learned the plan… « Hirtenstab » does not show up in the list.
i know i got it at SC but farming it like 7 hours at hardcore and still not get it on T16
and thats my problem or better bug
I am sorry but all you can do is try again… bad luck is unfortunate, but it is not a bug.

The Staff of Herding plan is not a 100% guaranteed drop from Izual.
Therefore, not getting the plan after repeatedly killing the boss is bad luck, not a bug.
Also, the difficulty you kill Izual on doesn’t affect the drop chance of the plan, so you don’t need to do this on T16. You could just as easily obtain the recipe at Normal (and the runs to Izual would be a lot quicker).

how long i should try it 7 days its easier to reste the plan bc i cant drop it
at Softcore i got it with first try and got it at the smith to craft it
but hardcore is bugged

Again, repeatedly not getting an item with a less than 100% drop rate is not a bug.

Ya know, I recall something about this from back in the day, where it wasn’t dropping on high Torment (qual) because too many other items got in the way. Just for SnG’s, try to get it on the basic difficulty, the lowest possible as you start the game (4 levels below Torment-1). Maybe it’ll drop easier there.

It is a bug, and it is NOT fun.
The new season 29 REQUIRES that you craft a staff of herding to advance the altar buffs. I farmed Izual for more than 10 hours across two days. Literally HUNDREDS of kills, and not a SINGLE drop of the Staff of Herding recipe.
I eventually gave up.
This experience has soured me so badly against Blizzard and their games, that I have requested a refund of my pre purchase of Diablo 4.
This is probably for the best.
