Crusader thorns got left behind. Make Pig Sticker Ethereal to pump thorns.
Same goes for Impale Demon Hunters.
Having Karleis Point on a Bow smh the Set can’t even use Bows.
Not to mention all those possible quiver, mojo etc. affixes that nobody would take over a main hand affix.

Season started afew days ago already if you ain’t aware. Such change requires drastic measures by stopping the season progress to resume it which they won’t oblige.
You can use Impale with a LoD build if you like Impale that much with a Buriza; you just need Karlei’s or Rimeheart (is it possible anyway?) power on it. To compare; Shadow set has 6000% damage multiplier plus initial hit of 100x for 6-piece, while LoD/LoN set has 9750% damage multiplier with space to have guaranteed crits on frozen targets from Buriza. That’s only a matter of choice. As for thorns Invoker, you can grab Redeemer with Hack legendary power as attack speed still helps you.
If I understand right, one of the conditions to be an ethereal is that it existed in Diablo 2.

The Redeemer is what Invokers should be using, and that’s even if you are a pure ST Invoker utilizing 0 Bombardment damage. It especially becomes that way once you take Bombardment into account.
/sigh. So many players do not understand how Invoker works.
Hack is such an insignificant damage increase to Invoker that it’s never, ever worth taking - going from 67500% weapon damage to 67600% weapon damage is less then a 1% damage increase.
Instead, one should aim for Mortal Drama or Furnace, and then cube the other power.
Exactly. But in d2 there was some weapons to use for thorns builds. Superior War Scepter weapon was commonly used with aura thorns. So they could to bring Superior War Scepter make it heritage pig sticker leg power and to add a nice thorns amount.
It was always there. But there are a lot of stuff they worked i understand. But i’d love to see it coming next time. If you could pass it on.
Redeemer is a Mighty Scepter from Diablo 2. That should’ve give you enough hints.
But redeemer in D3 doesn’t have thorns amount. So they could to add to avoid conflict: which would let a lot of thorns added for non thorns user this way: “Increase player thorn based amount per 50%”. So just full thorns build would take advantagem from it. Or they would need to create a weapon to pump thorns amount.
It would match ideally with diablo 3 redeemer if they add thorns to it. It already hit fast so we would have the GR killer back again for crusader.
Neither the Diablo 2 one. If Pig Sticker has damage against humans and beasts, The Redeemer in Diablo 3 has increased damage against undeads and demons just like the original. To the opposite of what you’re trying to imply, you’re gaining more damage also it has stacking attack speed which benefits thorns builds.

Have you tested it in PTR ? You can’t reach good GRs like DH and WIZ with that. It’s just a slight improve for old thorns build. Lot of patches ago. Thorns enthusiasist players need something solid. I wanted to play with thorns this season but almost 1 year passed and no news for thorns itens update or new itens. I reached GR 110 with DH with less than 10 hours played under 3 minutes. With thorns build in 10 hours i would stick to GR 90 under 6 minutes or worst.
No I haven’t tested Redeemer on Wiz or DH in PTR. You have all the legendary affixes possible to roll in the items and you’re refusing to find a way to play your build.

I tested it on ptr and it still sucks. Thorns just kill elites and gr keepers. DH current build kill everything. Thorns build is very old with no adjusments. It need some love.
Highest pushes happen in 10-15k on non-season and 3-6k in seasonal usually. In case your build don’t exactly benefit from ethereals then stay the old school way, I fail to see how an Ethereal item with 100% increase in sader skills, stacking IaS%, more damage to undead and demons, lose to something so basic as a Pig Sticker for thorns.
It’s a seasonal theme and Invoker weren’t entirely a popular build but it’s still A-tier. If you avert your eyes a little you’ll see LoN bombardment at the S-tier with GoD6 DH. Crusader still has the best builds while DHs struggle 10-20 GRs behind you.
We have no idea about your gear quality in PTR. You can not possibly compare two different characters’ power by paragon in a new season theme. It would seem like you only got a bad luck at the drops or your skill build is off for what Ethereals replaced before.

From the looks of it, either you have to tweak the skills you use because Steed Set will be gone when you equip an Ethereal. It feels like you’d do better off with Bombardment instead of a primary attack focused build but I’m no expert at 'saders.

Sad to inform you, but as season started developers won’t be able to make any differences in the design and PTR is long gone. If they haven’t heard you before, they don’t have the luxury of stopping anything right now.
Crusader LoD Bombardment Crusader (Coming Soon!). Soooo good they are developint it yet with a lot of paragons hahahaha.
Invokers just got adjusted, when was it, previous patch? Bombardment got solidly buffed, though Thorn’s overall preformance was massively nerfed. Still, it went from a “Pure Elite Hunter” build to a “Can wear out density while killing Elites” build.
