I bought a pet, with legendary stats, from the market and transferred it onto a 2nd pet of the same type.
However, the pet receiving the legendary attributes did not become legendary and instead only became a rare pet.

That’s bad luck, not a bug, and you’re in the wrong place anyway.

I often wonder how that even happens when you are clearly not playing D3 to “end up” posting in the D3 forum…
Does the D3 forum “push and shove” somehow? Or are the other games forums just too shy?
Players posting on the wrong forums just happens… it occurs here, it occurs on the Blizzard General forum, and it likely occurs on other forums as well. Sometimes, players do not pay attention (or aren’t careful enough)… or perhaps they don’t know that their game has a dedicated forum… or they get sent here by Customer Support… or can’t find it for some unknown reason. There are many reasons.
It also occurs here because Diablo III Bug Report has one of the laxest permission requirements for posting… all you essentially need to post here is a Battle.Net account. And that’s probably because all Battle.Net accounts get a “free” Diablo III license… a Starter Edition license but, apparently, Blizzard wanted to allow even those players to post here.
Perhaps the real question is what do we do with those players when they post here in error… but that’s not a bug, and so Bug Report is the wrong place to discuss that.
